The Future of English in Vietnam
In every period in human civilization, a certain language had a position of lingua franca. If we take a look at history, we can see that French was the one for quite a long. It was a diplomatic language government officials used to communicate with their colleagues from other countries. As well, it was a language people who wanted to get a high-level education needed to know.
In the 20th and 21st centuries, we can see that the French language is no longer a lingua franca and that English has taken the prime spot. But it needs to be said that it is in this position that means something completely different than it meant before. It’s not just about education, but it is also about getting informed.
The key element in spreading the English language throughout the world has been conducted via the internet. Nowadays, you cannot come across a person who doesn’t understand the language at least a little bit. However, we want to point out that English in education processes still holds the prime spot. Today, we want to talk about the English language in Vietnam, and what the future hold for it.

Not only that English is a lingua franca of the modern world, but we can also say that terms from this language are used for naming concepts that have emerged in the last couple of decades, mainly when it comes to technology. So, educating yourself in this field means you cannot avoid the language at all.
