# DAOhaus Notifications on EPNS

## How DAOs receive notifications today
Currently, the only way where DAOs receive notifications is via our Discord Notifications Boost.

To set up the boost, the user has to:
1. Invite HAUSBot into Discord Server
2. Enter the Discord channel ID where notifications should be sent

From there, when any proposals are `submitted` or `entered voting period`, HAUSBot will send a notification to the Discord channel provided.

## Looking forward - New use cases

### **General Notifications**
These notifications give plain-old updates to notify DAO users of proposal activity.
- Proposal Submitted
- Proposal Sponsored
- Proposal enters Voting Period
- Proposal is Passed or Processed

### **Contextual Notifications**
These notifications are for scenarios where we need to alert users and get them to act because of the contexts of the proposals

As these contexts convey important information, the conditions for filtering them are more complex.

| 1 | Proposal failing soon | Proposal's voting period ending in 1 hour AND there are no votes | This vote will fail, so you should vote |
| 2 | Financial Activity | Minion Proposal AND asset value > 5WETH | This is likely to be a financial transaction, so you should check if this is authorised correctly |
| 3 | LP Actions | Minion Proposal AND there are certain LP fields (i.e. fields like Min, Max, etc.) | This is likely to be a LPDAO transaction, so you should act fast |
| 4 | NFT Sold/Purchased | Rarible Proposal AND NFT is sold or purchased | A trade has happened, so you should check if all is executed properly |
| 5 | Welcome New Member | Membership Proposal for new member has passed | Send a welcome message to new member |
