# Meeting Notes 10/25/21

Workshop went well! Good feedback, everyone learned lots.

Fabric Chessboard:
- Hard for robots to move on it
- Still somewhat costly

Motor Mount 3D Print
- Flimsy right now -- widen the motor hole a little bit and make the walls and supports thicker
- Move in screw holes on the bottom and make them a little bit bigger to accomodate holes
- About 2 hours, 15 mins
- Research different types of PLA, temperatures, and speeds that would make a robust

CAD/CAM
- CAM model not approved yet, but will do it this week and probably have a finished mount by Monday

Software:
- Got Raspberry Pi set up
- New code: object tracking - detects edges
- RCascade classifier
- Test Apriltags
- Voice recognition: tweaking it, pseudocode the control center, valid/invalid moves

Software Saturday Meeting:
- Test apriltags
- Start simulation using Gazebo
- Talk more about "flocking" algorithm

Hardware:
- Compare nylon vs posterboard vs wood vs nylon and paint costs for chess board
- Maybe use posterboard for testing and nylon for a more permanent solution in the future
- Maybe LEDs around entire robot instead of just one :slightly_smiling_face:
