# September 8, 2021
### Goal:
- Build life-size field with 32 robots
- Accept voice input and convert to a location on the field through the command center (Raspberry Pi 4)
- Will also control path planning and collision avoidance
### Subteams:
These are subject to change based on what team members find interesting and what they want to work on. Team members are not bound to the teams that are listed here, especially since this was the first meeting and people are finding their place on the team.
- #### Hardware:
- Ilina
- Salil (batteries)
- Tazveen
- Paul
- Emma
- #### Software
- Vinitha
- Kevin
- Maheep (computer vision)
- Douglas
- Kathy
### Meeting Structures:
- Meeting as a full team once a week (general/integration meetings) on Monday at 6pm → location will be posted in the Discord
- Subteam Meetings → normally in Discord to collaborate on what everyone is working on and who needs help with what. Will be arranged according to team availability
- Impromptu Meetings → on Discord or Bechtel to work together (not required at all, just if you are free to help out)
## Software Notes:
- [ ] Set up ROS using RoboStack
- [ ] Read software docs for Wizard Chess on the Wiki
- Apriltags and Computer Vision - look into OpenCV
- Natural language processing for the speech to text command
- Will need to use computer vision to capture the position of the chess pieces at all points in time
## Hardware Notes:
- [ ] Get situated with Fusion360
- [ ] Practice with turning the robot sketches to CAD models
- [ ] Get started on looking into batteries (Salil, whoever else is interested but it seems to be no one else :white_frowning_face: )
- Need to think about how we will be getting the pieces off the board and how we will autonomously visually change pawns once they reach the other side of the board
## Future:
### General Action Items:
- [ ] Software and Hardware onboarding
- [ ] Get access to code and extra hardware from last year (Ilina)
### Things to Think About:
- [ ] Swarm robotics potentially?
- [ ] How to correctly implement capturing of game pieces
