# Meeting Notes 11/08/21
Received $150 from PEPC

## Software
- got circuit built! planning on testing it on the raspberry pi on saturday
- color detection: paint robots blue and detect robots in general and then further specify white/black pieces based off of light/dark blue

## Hardware
### Motor Mounts
- 3D Printing:
- Problems with the previous iteration: outer layer was too thick and caused infill problems and weird spacing when printing leaving holes in the print
- Adjusted border and infill, new print should be much sturdier and stronger
- Get instructions on the print and add it to the Wiki once we have a working one
- CNC:
- Set a time to finish manufacturing the metal mounts (just need to saw off the back of the mount and drill holes)
- Design Matrix - weigh the 3D Printed and CNC options using a design matrix so that we can determine what works best
- Durability, sustainability, cost, complexity, time, feasibility

### Chess Board
- Looking into buying different materials for the board
- Poster paper, nylon cloth, wood, cardboard
- Design matrix to figure out which one is best for long term and short term
