###### tags: `meeting-notes` # Brainstorming Session 2 ## Goals <ul> <li> Onboard newer members</li> <li> Preview Brainstorming 1 and take note of prime takeaways</li> <li> Reiterate goals and subject to focus on for semester</li> <li> Discuss budget - PEPC and PESC (Due tomorrow)</li> <li> Starting Research and taking up individual tasks</li> <li> Sketching plan for the semester</li> </ul> <hr> ### New Member Onboarding Aarna: CS - Software Kiera: VDE - Mechanical/Design Rugved: FYE(AAE) - Mechanical/Design; also experience in CS ### Discussion <ol> <li> The budget, what it goes to, different kinds of spreadsheet budgets and parts lists we will be making throughout the semester - referred Robot Arm and MOVEO</li> <li> How we can start with the project before we hear from funding - @revanthsenthil has a bunch of MGS90 Servos, an Arduino UNO and Leonardo and the club has some other electronic parts to start off with testing and electronics</li> <li> The final project outcome for this semester is to take an animatronic hand system from the wrist to the end of the finger and make it play within one octave</li> </ol> ### Tasks #### For Project Manager: <ul> <li> Create a when2meet or a whenisgood to find out when it is possible to meet in person for the project and start working on it - thinking of one hour during the week, which could be an optional drop-in and approx. 1.5 - 2 hrs on the weekends to work in-person</li> <li> Work on a more accurate budget for PESC</li> <li> Work with team to create a more solid plan for the rest of the semester, more specefically, with different subteams </li> </ul> #### For Team: <ul> <li> RESEARCH - it is suggested that every member reads and understands more on the topic of interest; post links and interesting content found while doing the same</li> <li> Subteams have been divided, team members are expected to work with the respective subteams towards certain goals as discussed</li> <li> Hardware/Design - We most likely will be using Fusion 360 or Solidworks for CADing this project, but don't worry about that for now. It would be appreciated it if you could actually </li> <li> Software/Electronics - We will start by exploring servo electronics with the help of parts that @revanthsenthil and the club already has, please reach out personally to start with the same. </li> </ul>
