# VR Squad 4/11/22 Meeting Notes
## Jin Updates
- writers room not 100% finished
- wants to setup room for easy image switching / enabling hot swaps
- another idea is to do what oncyber is doing or something similar
- boombox: mozilla hubs platform of choice?
- jin: for now yes, then try something new on the next week
- jin: add outdoor / open / more abstract thinking space to current hubs spot
- current world good for onboarding, showing what we do / produce, giving idea of overall ethos
- would be good to get writers room in neos
- arashi: chill out VR is worth looking into as well, very good experience with it the few times i used it
- compile all VR related assets in one place
- getting avatar prefabs would be good to have as well
## proposal
- minutes as a KPI
- more opportunities to capture B roll footage will be good
- VR location scouting -- bring it back to studio, figure out how to use it
## this week
- friday aim for photo shoot
- practice music video larping
- test run virtual studio utilization
(daofren and drew join) -- jin recaps:
- virtual fashion shoots like fashion shows
- avatars in virtual fashion studio -- video and clips generated thru this
- lighter lift. just model shoots. posing with wearables
- daofren: gravitate farther away from fast and loose, give time for creation of wearables and vr squad, sync with brands, give teasers before drop
- jin: we want to boost this with more artillery. multiple avatars using wearables, get content of that
- drew: budgeting perspective: trying to lump sum everything against larger time frame vs. trying to figure out smaller scope detailed efforts that are easier to put budgets against in terms of hard costs + efforts spent
- doing this more in a rolling -- for instance, pushing a week thru at a time vs. trying to do 3 month epic
- otherwise need each group to break each thing down and provide more annotated detail of budget needs. license costs, assets, etc. doing that in scope chunks might be easier vs. thinking of them as epics.
- naming people working on each particular effort, budget allocated to each individual, what they are doing.
- 3 month time frame for goals makes sense, but budgeting by that time frame may not work
- jin: it's all good, we are ready to suit up and start showing off assets and -- making content is like building blocks. we've got this whole roadmap ... in terms of ramping up speed
- drew: i don't want you guys to justify a huge budget when we can more easily justify smaller particular budgeting instances
- daofren: establish rhythm and cadence
- jin: all we really need is to pull a piece from the current proposal and roll it into a more focused smaller proposal
- boombox: this is a good idea, kind of a micro sprint
- drew: we started with waterfall approach, moving towards more agile method of thinking
- daofren: stable allocation plays into this as well --
- drew: need more detail on allocation of budget. could be easier to do that in smaller chunks
- drew: ideas on ops side -- maybe we can have another call to chat thru how to make this a lift that wont make it a burden for you. some degrees of specificity but also flexibility
- daofren: biggest concern setting right stable allocations so we don't drive metafactory into the ground
- jin: at a meta level, this is like figuring out how to scale DAO's
(discussion about various ways to accomplish these goals with proper budgeting procedures in mind)
### Notes copied from Jin:
Here's budget we're looking for in general against epoch
internally budgeting per first sprint against the epic
first ask outta budget is for field trips / fashion shoots / creation of assets and templates
we're guinea pigs, ahead of other groups, settings standards
pre-production sprint
pipelines, sets, avatars, obs templates, intro / outro
need more detail on allocation of budget:
- fashion shoot
- avatar pipeline
- stable allocations
pre-production sprint
pipelines, sets, avatars, obs templates, intro / outro
50/50 upfront and end
stables + robot = bonus ontop of stables
fashion shoots:
getting into the groove of making content
lighter lift
focus on aesthetic
content that can go on website / social
show off wearables
