# Metaverse Advertising Proposal and Plan ## Metaverse Basics ### What is the Metaverse? "Metaverse" is a generalized term that refers to "3D worlds" built on Ethereum with defined property lines and land ownership recorded through digital deeds on the blockchain. There are several different Metaverses that have been built on Ethereum. The most prominent of these are "Decentraland" and "Cryptovoxels." ### How do we expect the Metaverse to evolve? Decentraland and Cryptovoxels have been around since late 2017/early 2018. They started as very niche communities whose early adopters were people very active in the crypto industry -- very far removed from the average consumer. ![](https://i.imgur.com/7mtRGH8.jpg) (^Decentraland) The value of "virtual real estate" in these Metaverses has skyrocketed in recent time. Parcels in Decentraland that cost $300 back in 2018 now exceed values of $45,000. Similarly in Cryptovoxels, land there was very cheap back then and now, in most cases, exceed $15,000 - $40,000 in value. In both worlds you can find property that has been exchanged for six figures. In Decentraland, there have been several $1mil+ land deals, and many properties on the open market can only be obtained for several million dollars. These trends will continue, with the expectations that values will rise and fall just as they do in any market, but the overall direction of virtual real estate value will follow its current explosive tracjectory upwards. ![](https://i.imgur.com/qteHZz1.png) (^Cryptovoxels) The user base will grow. Corporate interest and Venture Capital will flow into these worlds. Virtual Real Estate value will continue to increase. The number and variety of blockchain based Metaverse worlds will multiply. Eventually the popularity of these worlds will be mainstream and a "household name" in the mind of the average consumer. Already today elite professional musical artists are turning to the Metaverse to perform. Artists like 3LAU, Deadmau5, Don Diablo, and Steve Aoki are among the first globally known artists to have either performed in the Metaverse or launch Metaverse based ventures -- all of which have been very successful. Others will follow suit, and as they do, the user base will continue to exponentially grow and money will continue to flow into these worlds. ### Why advertise in the Metaverse? This past year saw a breakthrough in the popularity and value of Metaverse real estate. The surge in property values brings with it more users, advancing technology and property capabilities/utilities, and interest from Venture Capital and other corporate entities. And of course, the "crypto whales" maintain a sustained presence and interest in the continued development of these worlds. The Metaverse is a new frontier of online social interaction. It enables people to come together for various activities, communitiy building, and events/shows in a way that was never possible before. These places are bringing human society closer to a "borderless" paradigm in which geography is no longer a limitation for being able to participate in/attend our favorite things. At the moment, there is little to no presence of any advertisers in any Metaverse. Anything that is being advertised here is being done by crypto native individuals who are advertising other crypto projects. There are several important reasons why acting quickly to be the first corporate entities to establish an advertising presence in the Metaverse is critical: - Doing so will grant the "first mover advantage" to the first firms to establish a presence in these worlds. The claim to be among the first corporate entities to advertise in the Metaverse is still up for grabs. - The Metaverse has been and will continue to be a viral and trending term on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and more. Advertisers who establish a presence in these worlds will be able to tap into this social media activity in a genuine and organic manner and connect with a new generation of customers in a meaningful way. - A new culture is emerging from the crypto industry. This culture is not yet mainstream, but every day it grows closer to being actively present in the mind of the average consumer. Advertisers should be positioning themselves now and establishing their presence in these worlds while they are still in their early phases. When this culture achieves mainstream notoriety, those who take action now in the early phases of this development will possess significant advantages over their competitors. ## Advertising in the Metaverse: Our Plan Given the most notable and popular Metaverse worlds are Decentraland and Cryptovoxels, our plan will be focusing on establishing a presence in these worlds. Once a presence is established, we will expand that presence to proliferate our message to capture as much reach as possible in these worlds. We expect that all major advertisement firms will seek to establish themselves in the Metaverse. As they do, the expense to undertake these efforts will grow. Our plan will seek to establish our clients as the first advertisers in the Metaverse, and furthermore, to negotiate agreements that will grant us very favorable "introductory rates" with the option to lock in these rates for years to come. This will not only give our clients the "first mover advantage" in the Metaverse, but additionally enable them to enjoy advertisement rates that remain low and steady as the cost to advertise here will drastically rise in the near future. For our efforts in both Decentraland and Cryptovoxels, we will be working hand in hand with a crypto native individual who is deeply embedded in the crypto industry and was one of the early adopters of land in both worlds. We will be seeking to utilize lands he owns in addition to tapping into his network of crypto friends and contacts, many of whom are prominent members and leaders of the crypto community. ### Phase One: Decentraland Decentraland has three different types of land: privately owned land, community "district" land, and "Plaza land" that is not owned by any individual, rather, it is "neutral" land that serves as spawn points and hubs of user traffic. There are 8 Plazas located throughout decentraland. All private and district land located adjacent to a Plaza are significantly more valuable on the market than lands that are further removed from a Plaza. Our plan in Decentraland will be laid out according to two general concepts: - Static Advertisement - Active, Event Based Advertisement #### Static Advertisement Static Metaverse Advertisement can be likened to traditional "billboard advertisement" in the real world. We will seek to establish these types of advertisements surrounding each of the Decentraland Plazas, as they are the areas with the most user traffic. We will also seek to establish these advertisements within all major "Decentraland Districts" as these areas have high user engagement and community activity. Our intitial establishment of presence in Decentraland will give us ad space directly adjacent to the north eastern Plaza of Decentraland, as well as in the biggest district of Decentraland which is called "Aetheria," a cyberpunk themed area. ![](https://i.imgur.com/C31JrhU.jpg) (^Aetheria) The advertisements that will be established in Aetheria will be "skyscraper towers" that will have the capability to to host advertisement content tailored to any desired aesthetic. The ads can rotate, be animated, switch out according to a predetermined time structure, etc. Through our contact, we have already secured the interest and willingness of the Aetheria District in hosting advertisement content in their community. ![](https://i.imgur.com/FNNzORu.jpg) (^Aetheria) Aetheria is located off of the north eastern corner of the north eastern Plaza in Decentraland. We also have direct access to land situated directly adjacent to the north eastern Plaza, but on the south western border of that Plaza. ![](https://i.imgur.com/BD7dAhP.jpg) (^North Eastern Decentraland Plaza) Once a presence is established and locked down in the north eastern geography of Decentraland, we will utilize our contacts network to expand our reach to each Decentraland Plaza and all major Districts. #### Active, Event Based Advertisements With this approach, we will hosting events at well established and popular music venues in the Metaverse which will draw in a lot of users to the experience. To accompany these events, our contact will have special NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) and POAP Tokens (Proof of Attendance Protocol) developed to further incentivize users to attend. We will utilize our own network in addition to our Metaverse contact's network which includes elite EDM musical performers known on a global level. These events can be sponsored, and in addition, we can strategically place secondary advertisements in the land surrounding the location of the event venues. These types of events have already started in Decentraland. Recently, Playboy rented land in the Aetheria district to hold a multi-day music festival with musical performers, special NFTs, and POAPs that attendees were able to claim through attending the event. Our contact will be able to get us access to this same space Playboy utilized, and more-- both within Aetheria, other Districts, and private land owned by some of the crypto elite. ### Phase 2: Cryptovoxels While Decentraland has more users, and is more oriented to the "average consumer" -- Cryptovoxels is home to the crypto elite, otherwise known as the "crypto whales." It was the first Ethereum based Metaverse and, in general, sets the tone for what "crypto culture" is. Cryptovoxels is where things in crypto culture take root before seeping into other aspects of the industry. On average, the users of Cryptovoxels are very affluent and possess tremendous influence over the development and direction of crypto culture. Through our contact, we have established interest in bringing our presence into the Cryptovoxels Metaverse. We will take the same, dual pronged approach in Cryptovoxels that we utilize in Decentraland: static and active advertisement. We will seek to negotiate favorable introductory rates and give our clients renewal options to lock in these rates for years to come to keep the price of advertising low for our clients while the expense for your competitors rises. Our associate has already secured the interest of several prominent members of the Cryptovoxels community in working with us. This will give us access to space in the Cryptovoxels "Origin City" which will be out of reach and unobtainable for your competitors. Some of these people are very high ranking members of the crypto community and run some of the biggest crypto events in the "irl" world. Bringing them into our network will be beneficial to us in more ways than simply advertising. We will be working to establish our presence in Decentraland prior to beginning work in Cryptovoxels. However, it is possible that the two can be established simultaneously. ### Phase 3: Expansion in Accord with New Developments Decentraland and Cryptovoxels are here to stay. They will both be leading and prominent forces in the Metaverse scene for decades to come. We cannot ignore these places and give the advantages they bring to our competitors. The third phase of our plan will be to actively track and monitor new developments in Metaverse worlds. We will track which worlds attract users, capital, and professional artist attention. Fortuantely our contact and his crypto network have their fingers on the pulse of these developments, and often times are the ones developing these new worlds. We will seek to continually supply our clients with new information regarding these developments to enable us to make strategic decisions in order to maintain significant advantages over our competitors.
