# Ethereum Swords: NFT Conceptual Document

## Lore
*2500 Swords made of the Ether itself. Their origins are unknown, but they are rumored to have come from deep space -- perhaps sent here intentionally, to help humans realize their potential to become a cosmic civilization. They seem to possess great power, and are made of materials that cannot be found anywhere else on Earth. Our instruments cannot analyze them, their properties are still unknown to us...*



*...what we do know of the swords is limited. Unless active, their blade is not present and appears to be nothing more than a rune-inscribed hilt with a large jewel embedded into it. They seem to form a strong bond with their holder -- when called upon, a mist of glowing cosmic energy pours out of the jewel and solidifies into form...*



## Goals
- Sell 2400 Eth Swords, Keep 100 in the M3 Treasury for giveaways, promo's, etc.
- Target Price:
- .05 ETH x 2400 = 120 ETH Raised (60 M3 treas, 60 collaborators); or
- .1 ETH x 2400 = 240 ETH Raissed (120 M3 treas, 120 collaborators)
- Eth Sword M3 treasury funds go to multisig wallet controlled by all collaborators
- Create benefits for Eth Sword holders in various parts of the open metaverse with a connection to M3
- Create a pipeline of new M3 collab NFT drops from M3 artists and creators where Eth Sword holders are reserved portion of drop for free minting, while other portion of drop is put up for public sale
- Develop a game directly incorporating Eth Swords playable by both holders and non holders

## Concept
This is intended to be an evolving NFT collection, one that grows in parallel with the evolution of M3 and the places in the open metaverse it helps to develop.

Eth Swords will have an initial set of properties and benefits. Over time, as our technology expands and we develop the ability to analyze and understand them, they gain new properties and benefits for their holders.

## Benefits and M3 Creator Launchpad Aspirations
Develop NFT drop pipeline for new and existing M3 artists and creators. Provide free minting of new drops from pipeline to Eth Sword holders with the intention that 25 - 50% of the drop be reserved for free minting and putting the remaining portion up for public mint (sale).

- Free to play: game mode with no wagering pre match
- Win for Pay: game mode with wagering of crypto pre match
- Holder vs. Holder: game mode where all players hold a Sword
- Non Holder vs. Non Holder: game mode with only non holders
- Holder vs. Non Holder: game mode of 2 holders vs. 7 non holders
- Holders are more powerful, non holders are more numerous
- Aprx. 3 - 4 well coordinated non holders per 1 holder


### Benefits for "set bonus holders"
- For each initial property (blades, hilts, jewels) collecting three out of five unique property variations will bestow a benefit, while collecting five out of five unique property variations will bestow a greater benefit
- these benefits are TBD, most likely tied to IRL events in some way

## Tiers and Rarity
There will be 3 initial properties for each sword. Those will be: blade type, hilt type, and jewel type. The swords will gain new properties over time, as further research and technological progress enhances our ability to understand them.

### Blade Type (Lore)
*The blade of each sword is not present unless called upon by the holder. When the holder calls forth its blade, a mist erupts from the jewel embedded in the hilt. From the mist a solid form takes shape, lending great power to its wielder.*
- 1200: Shortsword (short and straight blades)
- 700: Kodachi (short and curved blades)
- 300: Longsword (long and straight blades)
- 200: Katana (long and curvevd blades)
- 100: Dagger


### Hilt Type (Lore)
*The hilt of each sword is intricately carved of elemental material that is not found on Earth. There are rune-like inscriptions worked into the craftsmanship that have yet to be translated. Perhaps they contain some sort of guidance or knowledge that we could benefit from. Without being able to classify the materials, we've lebeled them as follows:*
- 1200: Stone
- 700: Metal
- 300: Gold
- 200: Diamond
- 100: Meta


### Jewel Type (Lore)
*In the hilt of each sword, a jewel is embedded. They radiate with energy and can bond with its holder, lending its power. These jewels seem similar to other gems found on Earth, but they are not of this world and our instruments malfunction when attempting to analyze them. We've classified them as such:*
- 1200: Ruby (red)
- 700: Sapphire (blue)
- 300: Jade (green)
- 200: Pearl (white)
- 100: Meta (purple / swirling mixture)
