# Silk Hacker House: Enhancing Silk's Digital Identity Platform

In my journey to enhance Silk's claim of being "grandma-proof," I focused on refining the onboarding process and the verified credentials flow, renamed "Trusted Keys." My goal was to embody simplicity, security, and intuitiveness, ensuring that Silk's platform remains accessible to all users.

### Bounties Addressed
This project submission targets the following bounties:

* **Best Onboarding Implementation:** For enhancing the user onboarding experience with intuitive design and clear language.
* **Best Silk Integrations:** Through the thoughtful redesign of the "Trusted Keys" section and the clear delineation of attestations.
* **Creative Use Cases:** Copncept of Dynamic Soul Bound Tokens that change over-time for professional growth, family heritage preservation, and academic research.

## Key Contributions
**Simplified Onboarding and Trusted Keys**
Implemented minor yet impactful changes to the onboarding sequence, introducing more straightforward copy and intuitive language to guide users effortlessly through the process.

**Trusted Keys Redesign**
Reimagined the verified credentials flow, resulting in the creation of the "Trusted Keys" section, a centralized space for managing personal security elements distinctly separated from attestation actions.

**Attestations**
A dedicated screen for attestations, clearly delineating it from "Trusted Keys" to enhance user navigation and understanding.

## User Research & Recommendations
**How Might We Exercise**
Brainstormed to tackle user experience challenges, generating actionable insights to improve usability.

**User Interviews**
Conducted informal interviews with other developers I've met and a non-crypto user to gather firsthand feedback on their needs, preferences, and pain points when it comes to identity verification.

**Proto Persona Creation**
Developed a proto persona to guide the design process, to stay user-centric and follow UX Heuristics.

### To keep Silk "grandma-proof" and accessible to everyone, I recommend:

* Automate when possible to reduce user effort.
* Using simple, clear copy and storytelling to explain features and guide users.
* Separating "Trusted Keys" and "Attestations" for intuitive navigation and management.

## Creative Use Cases using EAS (Ethereum Attestation Service)
**Soulbound Tokens for Professional Milestones**

*Use Case: Use SBTs to symbolize and verify professional milestones and achievements.*

Users can showcase their collection of SBTs on their profiles, offering a verifiable track record to peers and potential employers.

Great use case for developers to record projects on-chain.

**Soulbound Tokens for Preserving Family Heritage**

*Use Case: Use SBTs to digitally preserve and share family histories, stories, and milestones.*

Each token represents a piece of heritage, creating a digital legacy that can be passed down through generations while remaining tied to the family lineage

**Soulbound Tokens for Research Integrity and Collaboration**

*Use Case: Use SBTs for documenting and verifying individual contributions in research projects.*

Attestations for recognizing a researcher's work and facilitating collaborations across fields.

## Post Hackathon
I would like to further explore how Silk can integrate attestations more deeply into its UI and developing a design system of components, looking through other products on the market that have successfully integrated attestations. To continue enhancing the accessibility, of complex systems and flows.
