# ApacheCon 2021 Speakers
Dear ApacheCon Speaker,
We are just 3 weeks out from ApacheCon, and we want to be sure you have all the tools and information you need to make your presentation at ApacheCon a success.
Please also read https://www.apachecon.com/acah2021/speaker_info.html for more information about the Hopin platform, and other tips about presenting at ApacheCon.
Important information:
First, if you have not done so already, you need to register for the event. Do that by going to https://hopin.com/events/apachecon-2021-home and signing up. Tickets are free - we just need you in the system in order to give you access to your presentation.
Your presentation is 40 minutes long. This includes any time you want to leave for audience questions. (Keynotes are 15 minutes.)
You may use the slide template available on the speaker info page (https://apachecon.com/acah2021/speaker_info.html) if you wish, but you are not required to do so.
On the day of the event, you should log into hopin.com at least ten minutes before your talk, so that you have time to make sure everything works. There will be a session named "Test your audio/video and screen share" where you can drop in at any time to make sure that everything works.
Your session will appear on the schedule FIVE MINUTES before it is scheduled to start. This is a feature of the platform, and is perhaps the largest source of confusion that our speakers have.
Technical support will be offered on Slack. Please join the Slack instance now by using the link http://s.apache.org/apachecon-slack Once joined, you can join the channel #speaker-help for help.
