Join the Ansible Community on Matrix!
===
In order to foster an improved real-time communication model, the Ansible Community decided to adopt Matrix as their official place to chat (bridged to IRC).
Matrix is an open standard and communication protocol for real-time communication. It aims to make real-time communication work seamlessly between different service providers, in the way that standard Simple Mail Transfer Protocol email currently does for store-and-forward email service, by allowing users with accounts at one communications service provider to communicate with users of a different service provider via online chat, voice over IP, and video telephony.
The room links in the General channels or in the Working groups list will take you directly to the relevant rooms. If there is no appropriate room for your community, please create it.
Let’s get started…
To join the community using Matrix, you need two things:
* a Matrix account (from Matrix.org or any other Matrix homeserver)
* a [Matrix client](https://matrix.org/clients/) (we recommend [Element Webchat](https://app.element.io/))
If you already have a Matrix ID, scroll down to the Sign In to Matrix section below for next steps.
If you do not have an Matrix ID, follow the steps below to [register](/Gqu02SnORhK9pw0uq1z_cg).
