# exploring branding for devtools

Reasoning:
* easy use in techical presentations
* make the association with ansible familly more obvious
* avoid cluttering documents with too vivid/complex/detailed logos. We can still use complex ones, but not on "every slide", as they can be distracting.
* have a set of logos that render well at very small size (icons)

## Picking background
* Grey background was ruled out as it provides bad contrast while/dark screen modes.

## Picking icons

Some products already have their own logos like runner and molecule, we will likely avoid changing them, at least for start.

* runner: a person running
* navigator: a ship/boat
* devtools: tools like hammer, ruller, pen
* molecule: a simple molecule
* linter: a real linter or duster
* language-server: something related to languaghe/speacking/words
