# OLD Terms list

This lists the official Red Hat terms for Ansible so we can decide if the community wants to adopt this list in community docs as well.
Edited based on community feedback for what we want in our docs:
* Ansible - on all occurences unless refering to the `ansible` CLI command. Preference is to use this to refer to the Ansible community package.
* Ansible Builder - on first occurence or `ansible-builder` if referring to the CLI command. Subsequent occurences can be Builder.
* Ansible Collections - on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be collections.
* Ansible Content Development kit (CDK) - on first occurence. Subsequent occurences can be Ansible CDK
* Ansible Core - on all occurences, though preference is `ansible-core` after first occurence to distiguish from the Ansible community package.
* Ansible Creator - on first occurence or `ansible-creator` if referring to the CLI command.
* Ansible Execution Environment(EE) - on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be Execution Environment or EE.
* Ansible Galaxy - on first occurence. Subsequent occurences can be Galaxy. Do not use Galaxy NG.
* Ansible Lint on all occurrences unless refering to the `ansible-lint` CLI command
* Ansible Molecule on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be Molecule unless refering to the `molecule` command.
* Ansible Navigator on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be Navigator or `ansible-navigator` if referring to the CLI.
* Ansible Playbooks on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be playbooks.
* `ansible-pylibssh` - on all occurences.
* Ansible Roles on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be roles.
* Ansible Rule on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be rule.
* Ansible Rulebook on first occurrence. Subsequent occurrences can be rulebook.
* Ansible Runner - on first occurence or `ansible-runner` if referring to the CLI command. Subsequent occurences can be Runner.
* Ansible SDK - on all occurences.
* Ansible Sign - on all occurences, or `ansible-sign` if referring to the CLI command.
* `ansible-test` - always referred as the CLI command.
* Ansible VSCode Extension by Red Hat - on first occurence. Subsequent occurences can be Ansible VSCode Extension.
* Pinakes - on all occurences.
* Receptor - on all occurrences or `receptor` if referring to the CLI command.
