# MVP Stage

Minimum Viable Products are meant to do one thing above all, and that is to test if there really is a market need for the problem you are trying to solve. This is an extremely difficult stage because it is full of uncertainty, it requires a flexible strategy with low-fidelity testing.

The lean startup method is more like running a scientific experiment than running a corporation. The MVP tests assumptions that you have made about what the problem really is and about what people want. Lack of a market need is why a lot of startups fail.


A minimum viable product is the test, of the hypothesis on which you want to build your business. No market need is known as the biggest killer of startups, even though what else are startups doing but trying to solve a market need. Failing to do the experimentation through minimum viable products is one of the reasons.
