# Ethereum Protocol Fellowship Update - Week 4 ## Last Week Over the past week, I deeply explored the [Fork-Choice enforced Inclusion Lists (FOCIL): A simple committee-based inclusion list proposal](https://ethresear.ch/t/fork-choice-enforced-inclusion-lists-focil-a-simple-committee-based-inclusion-list-proposal/19870). I also spoke briefly with one of the authors to determine if the approach is ready for implementation. Next, I began studying the [Prysm](https://github.com/prysmaticlabs/prysm) client to understand the necessary changes. Additionally, I researched [go-ethereum](https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum) and the Engine API to identify required modifications on the execution layer. Later, I prepared and presented a proposal for EPF. ## Next Week In the coming week, I plan to further develop the specifications for both the consensus and execution layers, moving the proposal closer to implementation. I've also discovered a group working on a Rust implementation for FOCIL, and I will stay in touch with them. The goal is to ensure that the proof of concept (PoC) can work seamlessly with both Go and Rust clients. ## EPF Day Presentation [Presentation](https://smallpdf.com/file#s=aebf1d8c-775c-44cc-908b-af9d062ac274)
