--- tags: Operations --- # Other metrics to track Th North Star Metric (Monthly Active Users) is for broad and long term tracking of organizational progress. However there is a lot more insight to be gained from a more detailed analysis of the performance of the Alkemio platform in terms of usage. ### Usage metrics to track As users contribute on the platform, they trigger "activity". The table below shows activity types to be tracked. If the tracking level is '2 - Per Hub', it means that it should be tracked both on Hub and platform level (the latter is simply the sum of all Hub activities). ![](https://i.imgur.com/xti9m6A.png) [Metrics to track](https://stichtingcherrytwist.sharepoint.com/:x:/s/Contributors/EWkzSquKMPxDsT7564UQO8wBfjmGz-RohTjWtOyRWoyMeg?e=FozdLR) ### Activity score The metrics stated in the table above are a lot to track. Therefore, we create a weighted activity score based on the Hub-level activities (Challenge created to Update written). The activity score can then be easily formulated like: :::success Activity score = ∑(activity_i⋅weight_i) ::: ### Presentation The metrics should be tracked using Kibana. Every month, a report should be emailed to the team that includes an overview of all of the above metrics. Time should be made available each month to analyse the data.

Example of the average activity per active user

### Comments / observations (neil) I think we would also be interested in seeing the activity per Challenge / Opportunity, so the insights can go deeper. So explaining that the data is aggregated upwards but also available at each level is important. Very interesting that you have started measuring multiple types of metrics. Usability is indeed a good category. In terms of other ones that may be interesting: - Time from sign up to first contribution - ...
