# Hubspot tips

### How to add a new platform user to Hubspot
1. When a new user signs up to the platform, you’ll get an email with the subject: New user registration: [name]
2. When you notice this, you manually add this contact to Hubspot. You'll get a message from Hubspot if the contact is already in Hubspot. In that case, just continue to step 3.
3. You set the properties "Platform user" to "Yes" on the left-hand side of the contact details.
4. You start an email sequence to the contact, by clicking on the email icon, sequences and by selecting the correct sequence (depending on language user).
5. Once done, place the email we received (in step 1) into the folder "Added to Hubspot".

### Sequences
Mayte and I wanted to start a sequence that consists of multiple emails that will help the user on their way, but we currently don't have enough support materials to do so. I therefore suggest starting with a simple email, called [NL] New Platform User. For now, I've made a simple draft. I'll also translate it into English, for English-speaking persons that create an account. That one will have the [EN] label (see screenshot below).
