--- tags: Blogpost --- # Product update: Home page refresh *Active user engagement*. This is one of our focus points with regards to the platform. How do we stimulate our users to actively participate and share knowledge? How can we make it easy for them to jump right back into the topics they care about? The latest release included several updates related to improving the user experience. Users will **stay logged in** for a longer period, the Alkemio platform can now be accessed via **alkem.io** instead of hub.alkem.io, and there was a **home page refresh**. In this way, we want to take away the barriers that may provide a barrier you from actively working on Challenges. ### Home page for not logged in Users Most visible however for you as a User, will be the new Home page. The current home page includes various blocks of tekst to guide you towards getting started or connect with Alkemio. We have simplified this into two sections. The **existing user** that can sign in or find out more about the **organization and vision** behind Alkemio. A **new visitor** can watch the **demo video** with an explanation and sign up when interested. ![](https://i.imgur.com/N1NGQPJ.png) ### Home page for logged in Users When you are logged in, you want to immediately see the content that is **relevant** for you. These are the Hubs that you are a member of, including the Challenges you want to work on. In the future, your 'my home page' may include many additional functionalities such as an activity feed, directly filling in your profile, or seeing who has commented on your contributions. But with this first refresh, we have taken the first step. ![](https://i.imgur.com/nAsKoN5.png) ### Statistics and Alkemio & You Finally, there are two smaller updates. First, there are several ways to **connect** with us and share your feedback (the previous *Alkemio and You* section). The section below with links to the website, contact form and our github repository are therefore still included. ![](https://i.imgur.com/dW04ra0.png) Second, the **statistics** have been incorporated within the relevant sections. As visualized below, you can find the amount of Hubs, Challlenges, and Opportunities via the icon in Explore the Challenge Hubs. The number of involved Users and Organizations are displayed in that section. ![](https://i.imgur.com/RvgfiuE.png) With this first home page refresh, we hope to make it easier for you to find relevant information and contribute to topics you care about! As always, happy to hear your feedback and ideas for the further improvement of the (my) home page.
