This is a guide on how to set up, execute, and clean up after a podcasting class/office hours.

## :feet: Step by Step Guide

1. Set up computers by doing the following
1. turn airdrop on for everyone
2. open GarageBand and chose the mic recording option
3. turn off the 123 and time purple icons
4. download any supplementary materials from slack onto storage-color of the computer in a new file labeled "CLASS#"
5. if students would prefer not to be recorded, put them on the left side of the room with their own laptops

2. Set up mics by doing the following
6. get an interface, shock mount, dynamic mic, and headphones with splitters
7. plug the microphone into the interface and then USB-C into computer
8. choose the GarageBand settings to have the input be the audio interface
9. Toggle with the Gain on the interface until the volume is between -9 and -12 dB
10. if there is singing involved, set up a pop filter

3. Recording
1. explain the "T" and "A" commands for editing
2. explain how pan and volume automation works
3. explain how the music beds function works

4. Clean up
1. take all laptops and chargers back
2. take all headphones and splitters back
3. dismount mics
