# Experience Sharing on BMW Research Lab ###### By Muhammad Alfi A Hello everyone, Let me introduce myself first, I am Alfi Aldo a final year student at the University of Indonesia major in computer engineering. I'm really glad to have the opportunity to join the Broadband Multimedia and Wireless (BMW) Research Laboratory as a Data Scientist through TEEP @AsiaPlus 2021 summer internship program. My intern started from 5 july 2021 until 1 September 2022 at NTUST. Although, the internship held online due to Covid-19, It still a great experience for me to communicate and learn many things from BWM Research Lab with other students. My general intern topic at BMW Research Lab NTUST is about Data Science, Basically, my internship is about performing analyses and analytics for smart water dispensers and their user behavior. I did that using my knowledge in statistic theorem and AI algorithms. During my internship, I use some tools like Python, MongoDB, TensorFlow 2.0, Scikit-Learn, Seaborn, and some statistical calculations. I successfully visualize the water dispenser time-series data into several graphs/plots to gain more information about the water dispenser. I also build a Deep Learning model like Stacked RNN-LSTM to forecasting the water consumption in 30-minutes intervals, and some other algorithms like Echo State Networks, CNN-LSTM, and so on. I personally want to say thanks to Prof. Ray-Guang Cheng that gave me this valuable opportunity to join the summer internship at NTUST, even though my interest is not the on going research topic in BMW Research Lab, but he still trust me to join as an intern. I also want to say thanks to all of my friendly mentors there, Mick and Derni. They gave me another point of view about the things that I have been doing and I'm really glad to have discussions with them. Best Regards, Muhammad Alfi A
