Last summer, Dan (in cc) and I started looking at the intersection of natural languages and formal languages. Our background is in programming languages research and we wanted to see what NLP has to offer. The most interesting project in this intersection we found was ACE and we very much liked your work on the ACE wiki. We were also pleased to find your code on git and got much of it to work.

As usual, at the end of the summer, teaching hit and we had to work on other things. This semester, we are teaching an introductory NLP course to undergrads which consists 1/3 Grammatical Framework, 1/3 transformers (BERT, etc) and 1/3 project. For us, the outcome of the course is that we find your work on ACE even more interesting now.
