# Polkadot Blockchain Academy Content Use Guidelines

:bulb: The following terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to your use of the information, taught lessons and learning materials, throughout the Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA) in-person course (the "Program"). Please read these Terms carefully. Your participation in the PBA course implies that you agree to these Terms.

## :book: Definitions
### :diamonds: Academy Course Material
:::success
Academy Course Material ("Material") means the information provided during the in-person Academy program and refers to presented material (slides, codes etc.), lecture notes, assignments, tests, syllabus and any other learning material provided by the Academy team and instructors before admission and during the Program.

### :diamonds: Academy students
:::success
Academy students ("Students") refers to individuals/learners who are attending the in-person Polkadot Blockchain Academy and who are required to actively participate in the Program and complete graded assignments.

### :diamonds: Academy guests/observers
:::success
Academy guests/observers ("Guests") means individuals/learners who are attending the in-person Polkadot Blockchain Academy but are not required to complete assignments and who do not receive a Grade at the end of the Program.

## :pencil: Intellectual Property
All Academy Course Material, Assignments, Rust Exam and the speeches made by instructors at the Polkadot Blockchain Academy are, and remain, the intellectual property of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy.
**Students and Academy Guests are NOT authorised to:**
(i) copy [except for own use], reproduce, re-publish, sub-licence, sell, upload, broadcast, post on social media, include in email correnspondence, transmit or distribute any of the Academy Course Materials without prior written permission;
(ii) record on video or audio tape, relay by videophone or other means the Academy Course Material;
(iii) use the Academy Course Materials in the provision of any other course or training;
(iv) remove any copyright or other notice of Polkadot Blockchain Academy on the Material.

1. The official LinkedIn account of the Academy is https://www.linkedin.com/school/polkadot-blockchain-academy
2. Link to the Academy in the Education section of your profile.
### :diamonds: Social Media Posts
1. You may provide a short summary in your own words of what you are learning at PBA without sharing any pictures or copying in part or in full the actual learning Material.
2. You may post quotes from presentations, seminars, and fireside chats with an appropriate reference.
3. When making posts about PBA you are encouraged to always reference the Academy's name in full, i.e. **Polkadot Blockchain Academy**, and use the correct hashtag **#polkadotacademy** or **#polkadotblockchainacademy**.

### :diamonds: Events, Seminars and Training
1. You might want to pass the gained knowledge at the Academy to your community and organise a seminar, meetup or a training sessions around one of the topics covered at the Academy.
2. In this case you are to produce your own slides, your own case studies, examples and talking points avoiding copying the Material directly.

1. For any other type of content that you would want to produce based on the new knowledge gained by attending the Academy, please reach out to us on email (pba.alumni@polkadot.network) so that we can review the content before it is published.
