Dear XXX,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am reaching out to invite you to apply to join the Book Dash Working Group (formally the Book Dash Organising Committee). This group discusses, thinks through and helps to set the strategic priorities for our bi-annual Book Dashes – our key annual edit-a-thon for The Turing Way community.
As we organise this working group and prepare for the upcoming November 2023 Book Dash, I wanted to reach out to ask if you would be interested in applying. Your experience and perspectives with XXX would be hugely valuable to our emerging team, and XXX. We hope that this upcoming event will be our most inclusive and fun event yet!
Time commitment will generally look like a regular meeting schedule in the months prior to the event, and facilitated conversations that will help our delivery team to plan our upcoming Book Dash.
If you are interested (and your time and interest allows for it), you can put in an application here: https://forms.gle/XEH4xnXdU4zXBT3E8. Applications are due next week on 31 July, but if you feel you would need a bit more time to apply, please let me know.
If it would be helpful, I would be happy to talk more about the application process on Slack or in a separate call. You can drop a time that works best for you in my calendly, or send a few times that work best for you. You're also welcome to join our Coworking call (Mondays, 11-12pm BST, joining info here) or Collaboration Cafe (1st & 3rd Wednesdays, next on 2 August, 15-17 BST, joining info here - if extended time is needed), and we can find a (digital) space there as well.
It would be great to work with (and learn from) you. I hope you apply!
Kind regards,
Anne
