# Hydro-mechanical solver road map
This project is based upon the code developed by Sydney Beeler. Let's start with the following tasks:
1. Re-run Sidney's code to reproduce the MSc thesis results
2. Add comments on the code (unclear parts & questions)
3. Share the repository with Albert and Luca
4. Reproduce the porosity wave benchmark as in [Raess et al. 2019](https://academic.oup.com/gji/article/218/3/1591/5497299?login=true)
Second phase:
1. Add compressibility terms to two-phase flow equations
2. Reproduce fluid injection 2D benchmark in [Dal Zilio et al. 2022](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0040195122003109)
Next steps:
1. Add inertial term to Stokes equations
2. Add plasticity model (rate-and-state friction)
3. Move to 3D
