--- title: 'PHRM7021' tags: PHRM7021, 2019 disqus: hackmd --- # PHRM7021 I am going to trial using HackMD for PHRM7021. The main ways I intend to use it is as a collaborative tool for: 1. Tutorial slide presentations 2. Feedback following tutorials 3. As a place you can [raise questions and discuss topics](#Course-QuestionsComments) related to the course (as an alternative to the Blackboard Discussion Board, which is also available). [HackMD](https://hackmd.io/features) is a platform that allows you to work collaboratively on [Markdown](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown) documents, which can then be formated as slides or documents. Read the [HackMD features](https://hackmd.io/features) page to get a handle on how it works. It might take a little while to get the hang of working in this way, but there are multiple pay-offs for getting your head around it. 1. No more sending around powerpoint slides and not knowing if you have the more up-to-day version 2. All the slide sets will be in the one place---they will link from this page 3. Markdown is a highly portable format that is being used more frequently in a wide rage of settings.[^1] [^1]: For example, with [Pandoc](https://pandoc.org/) you can convert markdown documents into a wide range of different forms, including Word documents, Powerpoint documents, LaTeX documents, HTML, HTML slides, .... This page will provides links to all the PHRM7021 material on HackMD. The key thing we will do is use this for collaborating on tutorial presentations. ## Table of contents [TOC] ## Task Pages can be set according to who can view and edit. The best way to go is to set any new pages such that anyone can view, but you need to be signed in to edit. :::warning This means that everyone will need to sign-in to HackMD ::: *Tasks* 1. Sign-in to HackMD 2. Modify this document in the [Sandpit](#Sandpit) section 3. Do one or all of the following: * Create a link * Insert an image * Create a new page * Copy and then modify the Slide Template on a new page * ... 4. Questions/comments/problems: let me know in the [comments](#Course-Comments/Questions) section or via the main Discussion Board ## Assessment ![Assessment Summary (ECP)](https://www.dropbox.com/s/owxnhnsdb3jv85b/Screenshot%202019-07-15%2012.23.24.png?raw=1) # Tutorials ## Introductory tutorial outline 1.
