# senior quality assurance engineer (remote)
[Helix Markets](https://www.helixmarkets.io/) is a high-speed, low latency exchange with many novel features, architectural traits and trade-offs!

The exchange will make use of dfinity’s ICP blockchain (https://internetcomputer.org/), a trading engine that is running off-chain and a number of backend services that integrate these components.

This is a fully remote quality assurance engineer position in an early-stage startup. You will ensure that our software works as expected.

## main responsibilities
- develop the whole context-driven testing strategy for the product
- promote and implement relevant testing heuristics and oracles as needed
- participate in testing efforts for releases and ongoing software maintenance

## about you
You are a quick learner who functions well in a chaotic startup setting and is able to
- get stuff done with minimal supervision
- communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel

## what you bring to the table
- at least 7 years of experience in a similar role
- ability to
- create and run test cases that cover a wide variety of scenarios such as functional, integration, load and performance
- isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
- ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed systems and to determine root causes of failures
- experience with any two of the following: bash, python, go, rust
- linux/devops skills
