# senior security engineer (onsite or remote)
[Helix Markets](https://www.helixmarkets.io/) is a high-speed, low latency exchange with many novel features, architectural traits and trade-offs!

This is an onsite (Switzerland) or fully remote security engineer position in an early-stage startup. You will plan and execute measures to monitor and protect our infrastructure from infiltration and cyber-attacks.

## main responsibilities
- establish policies, governance and other security protocols
- implement and administer security systems and programs
- detect/analyze security events and respond to them

## about you
You are a quick learner who functions well in a chaotic startup setting and is able to
- wear many hats and get stuff done with minimal supervision
- communicate security issues to peers and management

## what you bring to the table
- at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- security automation, e.g. by setting up and operating a [SIEM](https://www.splunk.com/en_us/data-insider/what-is-siem.html) solution
- experience with
- implementing the [zero trust](https://www.crowdstrike.com/cybersecurity-101/zero-trust-security/zero-trust-architecture/) security model
- intrusion detection, event tracing, log analysis and incident response
- server security hardening
- any two of the following: bash, python, go, rust
