# Leona's Bread Pudding *From my mother-in-law, transcribed without modification by me (for now).* 2 cups dry Bread cubes (4-5 slices) 4 cups scalded Milk ¾ cup Sugar 1 Tbsp Butter ¼ tsp Salt 4 slighly beaten Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla Oven 350° Soak bread in milk 5 min. Add sugar, salt, and butter. Add eggs, vanilla and mix well. Pour into greased 1½ quart baking dish. Bake in pan of hot water (I use hot tap water and put pan in oven while oven is heating) until Knife comes out clean. About 1 hour. Use caution when removing from oven—water is hot, pan is not stable, it is heavier than anticipated. Have fun!
