Tasks and next steps`5 min` - **Participants:** - Jason [EPFL] (jy) - Xing Wang [EPFL] (xw) - **Host:** jy - **Reference:** - [Last week meeting minute](/s/template-meeting-note) ::: :ballot_box_with_check: Tasks -- :spiral_note_pad: Notes -- * Jason: * Me and Xing meeting people from paratera and Sun Qiang on Tuesday. * Qiang still need to use AiiDAlab for his experiments. * We can assistant people from paratera to deploy the AiiDAlab using the new approach. (We may also benifit from it to test deployment on Cloud resources rather than Azure.) * Paratera has platform for online Seminar, they ask me and Qiang to give a 50 min talk about AiiDAlab. * It can be a good way to get AiiDAlab expose to Chinese potential users. * Add [slim image](https://github.com/aiidalab/aiidalab-docker-stack/pull/319) for "AiiDA only" tasks to aiidalab-docker-stack. * The system user can be changed to `aiida` not just the `jovyan` from jupyter image. * More slim (741MB v.s 1.9 GB) * Can be replacement of [`aiida-prerequisites`](https://github.com/aiidateam/aiida-prerequisites). (Push to also `aiidateam` dockerhub) * Potential issue if AWB version not bind to stack. The old docker stack has [aiidalab-widget-base version pinned in `requirements.txt`](https://github.com/aiidalab/aiidalab-docker-stack/blob/dff88d30a86e7f8182ac0390390407441f06c813/Dockerfile#L98). In new base image, it is not constaints anymore but as a general used widget package it required by different apps which might cause issue if user or app install the wrong AWB version and break the dependencies of other apps. * Is Sasha the only people manage the email of aiidalab@materialscloud.org? I think may be also Xing should access to it? * Xing: * The README of each repository in the AiIDAlab GitHub organization should feature up-to-date: - [ ] Title - [ ] Motivation / Context - [ ] Installation / Usage instructions - [ ] Primary maintainer - [ ] How to contribute - [ ] How to run tests - [ ] License - [ ] Acknowledgements * Giovanni: * Application to Fenix for 2023: Carlo will coordinate, deadline Nov 7th? * We need to have a more high-level discussion on how much we want to have AiiDAlab be used directly by experimentalists * QE App: current status, 2.0 support, number of bands, ... * Dou: * A PR to allow custom colors for all bandstructure (parameters: bands_color) * https://github.com/osscar-org/widget-bandsplot/pull/37 * Both bandstructure and DOS datas are aligned to Fermi level * Should we also user to input or modify Fermi levels? * Add Junfeng and Carlo for the discussion of the user cases (suggested by Giovanni)
