# AiiDA Team Meeting 2023-08-24 ###### tags: `team meetings` ###### time: 2pm CET [TOC] ### Present * Sebastiaan * Edan * Kristjan * Giovanni * Jusong * Marnik * Miki ### Catch-up round *Max. 3 minutes each* Sebastiaan: * [`ArrayData`: Allow defining array(s) on construction and make name optional in `get_array` ](https://github.com/aiidateam/aiida-core/pull/6097) * Discourse: let's get the switch finalized. Document with discussion on steps here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zbC9XcYhQ2UbFDvBlmmTIBoP_z4m6LrU0rDsZHDTb-I/edit#heading=h.8pdu5eidoz Kristjan: * worked on adding `verdi storage backup`: https://github.com/aiidateam/aiida-core/pull/6069 * two options: * backup(path, remote, prev_backup) * backup_auto(path, remote) * handling bash commands via subprocess * ssh uses users .ssh/config * potential alternative: paramiko for ssh, but not sure if worth it <- NOT WORTH IT Jason: * The container docker stack PR is ready with an updated [AEP 009](https://aep--39.org.readthedocs.build/en/39/009_new_docker_stack_image/readme.html) * Ahmed will give a demo on the GSoC project. Giovanni: - With Edan, we'll interview SwissTwins candidates in 2 weeks. Hopefully new team members by the end of the year? - Xing presented a very interesting concept on something in between calcfunctions and calcjobs/workchains for people just needing simple joining of existing code. Very worth further discussion in my opinion. - plans for further coding days/doc days? Were the tasks from the previous coding week finalized? - on my side, important work on disk-objectstore done - requires quick discussion with someone else on release path (do we do major release etc, what we deprecate), then release and adapt AiiDA to depend on it. I think it needs 1, max 2 days of work if there are no suprises. Would benefit for focused days (but for me ideally after mid Oct unless people want to work on it, then I can assist) Marnik: - Nothing to report on the `aiida-core` front. - PSI-related question: do we have a Google drive there too? Do we keep access to the EPFL one? Edan: - testing the built-in monitoring feature (so far so good) Miki: - almost ready a first version of aiida-atomistic and new StructureData (tested for Hubbard and magnetic calculations) ### Specific Agenda Items
