- completed action happening **before** something in the future
- for duration **before** something in the future
**Examples:**
- We **will have arrived** Cairo by this time next week.
**OR:**
- We are **going to have** arrived in Cairo by this time next week. (Both actions will happen in the future. They will arrive in Cairo [finished action] before a certain point in time next week.)
