# How I'd like to get involved
I'd love to join the Edge City Lanna community in Chiang Mai (CM) to accelerate the progress of real-world crypto with the [current and upcoming projects](#Current-and-upcoming-work) I'm working on. Last month in July I moved to CM leading up to Devcon to begin learning about the current state of real-world crypto in Southeast Asia and what the largest opportunities are. It will be mutually beneficial to work alongside both local builders and those who've traveled here to share our experience and build together.

I have experience and enjoy building in open source as part of communities both in fast growing places like Latin America and in traditional tech San Francisco. As a nomad I enjoy exploring cities through coffee and tea cafes, healthy local food, and running. - Selected as an advisor to the SafeDAO for product [research published](https://hackmd.io/@adamhurwitz/sgpcouncil-proposal#SafeDAO-contributions)
- Second half of 2024 Safe approval account diversity
- These are important for **real-world crypto** uses of owning assets, [social accounts, and personal data](https://forum.safe.global/t/social-safe-accounts/5136).
- I've started researching [account diversity of Safe software approval accounts](https://forum.safe.global/t/social-safe-accounts/5136/9), e.g. MetaMask, Rainbow, Rabby, etc. This will expand to hardware approval accounts in the future, e.g. Ledger, Trezor, Hito, etc.
- This is important for **real-world crypto** use to improve security for individual and organizational users by making their recovery options more resilient.
- Having a high performing diverse set of Safe approval account types for a Safe is just as important as having client diversity for the Ethereum ecosystem. If too many of one account type are used as approvers it creates a potential critical issue. An issue with one account type could result in a total loss of all Safe assets and digital accounts.
- In Oct 2024 I determined [Rainbow is a good option to add Safe diversity](https://forum.safe.global/t/social-safe-accounts/5136/11) based on the properties outlined

## Incorporation for indie builders
- I'm researching and sharing optimal United States incorporation paths for independent builders (Developers, researchers, consultants, etc.) with solutions such as [Opolis](https://opolis.co/).
- This will positively help other builders in the **real-world crypto** space.

## Open source yield (OSY)
- At the end of Q4 '24|Q1 '25 I will be [researching and sharing various crypto and USD based yield opportunities](https://x.com/adamshurwitz/status/1834201643438788999) examining and clearly explaining where the yield comes from
- This focuses on one of the original **real-world cyrpto** uses of transparent savings accounts with optional levels of self ownership
- I'll be focusing on protocols and products that survived the past crypto market cycle from 2020-2022 and sharing a public friendly dashboard with some of the opportunities
