# LGB-Crit Discourse: Some ideas

### Could be
I think we have everything we need for the upcoming months. What we could improve on:
- make the most of the `docs` plugin to build a knowledge-base, maintained by admins and moderators
- make topics falling under the "feature requests" concept vote-able (to promote good ideas)
- make any topics falling under the "comments about the news" vote-able (to have a reddit-like category)
## Categories (in no particular order)
### Current
All categories are public.

### Could be
Not all categories would be public. Sublists represent threads.

- Is the "LGB" umbrella anti-trans? Are we anti-trans?
- Are there only radical feminists under the LGB umbrella?

# Things to think about (By Flip):
## Regarding forum topics
### Should GC and LGB be seperate forums or should GC be subcategory in LGB?
However we turn it, i think trans issues will be the most popular so it definitely needs a category. I am having doubs about labels though, GC is a form of feminism and I do not want to make men feel they are in any way excluded. We don't need an ovarit clone, that already exists. Maybe a forum "transgender ideology" or something along those lines
### Different topics that we should open to break the ice
Ideas:
LGB: Laws around the world, transgender issues ... (we will need to see what people want to talk about)
Lifestyle: movienight suggestions, work background music etc.
### How LGB category should be divided?
Ideas: Men's corner, Women's corner, LGB Worldwide, homophobia, LGB Lifestyle ... (we should take a peek somewhere to see how that works these days)
## Regarding organization and technical side
### Division of roles
Supreme leaders=D, council, technical admins, moderators, creative admins (post writers, designers), PR
### Project management
- where we could submit issues and asign tasks (optional but useful if this grows)
- Shared docs, graphs
- if we are going to meddle with bots a lot, a bitbucket account
### Freddy and other bots
Can Freddy forward only certain topic? Could we modify it to only take popular topics in the future?
## Regarding safety and security
### Risk analysis (will open this topic to discourse in the future, should be in a form of a table (docs?))
This is just a brainstorming template for later.
What are the potential hazards and risks?
Hazard: A malignant user (MU)
Who is it: A troll, a TRA, a MRA, an incel, a homophobe or any kind of person with ill intentions
Risk: MU joins and trolls in comments
Management: Downvotes, if user is offensive deletition of comments. If user offends repeatedly forbid from posting in some categories
Risk: Many MU join and start downvoting on topics that are important or on comments that are productive
Managment: ? Some should be filtered with vetting but that's another issue to explore. How do we detect such users?
Risk: MU leaks personal information
Management:
- We urge ysers not to share personal info in the main forum. - Can we set up discourse so user can see who can see their full profile? (like friends on FB)
- We have locked categories that requre vetting and/or recommendation
Risk: becoming an echochamber of extreme views, and becoming counter productive because of it
Management:
- We only "employ" friendly (non conflict) personnel
- We allow different views but make strict rules of what we do and what we don't believe
- this Risk has a conflict with MU managment so it will need a lot of discussion and careful planning on how to acheve balance
- MU will try to join and push extreme views to discredit us. I have seen this done a lot. For example there are questions about Saudi involvement in 9/11 then after few years the loudest people claim there were no planes in NY just holograms. My conspiratory mind even questions if the whole trans thing isn't some controlled opposition to gain sympathy for conservatism and bring back theocracy. but that's a topic of it's own
# Plan
0. Docs or something to make planning easier. (open source alternative would be even better)
1. 1. We (the two of us) make rough outline of forum and topics
2. We invite people from LGB chat and see what their input will be (this will take time)
3. We connect Freddy to LGB chat
4. Risk analysis and organization, we invite people to join admin&mod team
5. ... i don't know yet but a lot of additional work probably
6. We make the existence of it public (I wouldn't plan this before NY, but it all depends on how many people will want to participate in helping. Maybe we catch the LGB conference)
