# Fantasy Manager League (FML) 🏆 – User Guide
Welcome to **Fantasy Manager League (FML)** — where your Fantasy Premier League (FPL) skills meet blockchain-powered prediction games, social interaction, and new ways to win.
👉 **Important:** You **don’t need to be a registered manager** to participate.
- If you’re a **manager**, you must be registered in FML to compete for prizes.
- If you’re a **predictor**, you can join freely, back managers, and swoop prizes without managing a team yourself.
---
## What is Fantasy Manager League? 🎯
FML is a community-driven game built on top of Fantasy Premier League. It adds an extra layer of fun and strategy by letting you:
- **Predict** which FPL managers will perform best.
- **Earn rewards** based on performance, predictions, and social plays.
- **Engage socially** through Farcaster, bribes, and marketing yourself as a manager.
### Why FML is Different
Traditional FPL is a marathon — if you fall behind early, it can feel like your season is over. FML changes that.
With multiple game formats and social features, you can stay competitive all year:
- Make predictions even if your own FPL rank is slipping.
- Market yourself and attract supporters to stay relevant.
- Use alternative prize models for fresh shots at glory.
In FML, there’s **always another chance at fame**.
### How Season Games Work
FML is structured around **Season Games** — mini competitions that run over a fixed set of gameweeks.
- Example: *GW1–GW5 is one Season Game, GW6–GW10 is the next.*
- Winners are decided based on the **most FPL points scored during that period**, not total season points.
- This keeps every block fresh and competitive, and gives both managers and predictors multiple chances to win across the season.
---
## Why Was It Created? âš˝
FML was created to:
- **Reward both players and predictors** in creative ways.
- **Keep competition alive all season long.**
- **Encourage social interaction**, where managers market themselves and negotiate support.
- **Introduce new game modes** for different levels of risk-taking.
- **Gamify the community layer** of fantasy football with blockchain-backed transparency.
---
## Prize Distribution 🏆
FML introduces **three different prize models**, each with its own dynamics.
### 🏆 Classic League
- Podium spots (1st, 2nd, 3rd) are based purely on **performance**.
- But — if a podium winner has **no predictions**, their allocation goes to the **treasury** instead.
- This treasury then helps **bootstrap the next season’s prize pool**, making it bigger and more attractive.
- This forces managers to **market themselves**, attract predictions, and create more revenue for the protocol.
- Social dynamics like **bribing** and endorsements become essential.
### âš˝ Prediction League
- Works like Classic, but podiums only go to managers who had **active predictions**.
- If a top-performing manager wasn’t predicted on, they’re skipped and the prize goes to the next eligible manager.
- This creates a **pure prediction-driven competition** — your bets decide the winners.
### ⏱️ Injury Time (Chaos Mode)
- The top 3 FPL performers **always win**, regardless of predictions.
- It’s pure **meritocracy**: only requirement is to be registered in FML.
- Doesn’t matter if nobody bet on you — if you finish top 3, you get the prize.
- Just like football’s stoppage time: unpredictable, dramatic, and sometimes unfair.

## How to Join a Season Game 🚀
👉 Remember: **only managers need to be registered** in FML. Predictors can join freely at any time, back a manager, and win prizes without being a manager themselves.
### Entry Requirements
- Each Season Game has a fixed **entry fee**, paid in the ERC-20 token chosen by the creator of that season (e.g., USDC, falsenine).
- **Managers don’t have to join a Season Game to be eligible.**
- A manager can sit out, do a strong **marketing push**, and let others predict on them.
- If they perform well, they still earn prize money without ever risking their own capital.
- Think of it as being like a **football agent** — your reputation and hype do the work, not your wallet.
### Step-by-Step Guide
1. **Enter the FML Mini App**
2. **Navigate to the Season Game tab**
3. **Click on a Season Game** that is active
4. **Choose your manager** to back and enter the season
5. **Confirm your entry** with the entry fee
6. 🎉 You’re in!
Now the real fun begins:
- Share your prediction with the community.
- Bribe managers to boost their effort.
- Let the **social game** take over.
---
## The Social Plays 🤝
FML thrives on **Farcaster’s social layer**, where conversation, bribing, and persuasion play a big role.
### đź’¸ Social Bribing
On Farcaster, users can send social tokens like **$REPLY, $BETR, $DEGEN, $TIPN** and more.
- Managers can **bribe** others to predict on them.
- If they perform well, **both the manager and predictors win**.
- This creates a fun **mutual incentive system**: back me now, win with me later.
### 📢 Manager Marketing
Because of Classic League’s rules, managers need to **actively market themselves**.
- Share your FPL track record.
- Cast strategies, insights, and banter on Farcaster.
- Convince predictors to back you — your results + their predictions = bigger prizes.
### 🏟️ Sponsored Prize Pools
Want to be a community leader? You can **sponsor prize pools**.
- Boost a pot to attract more managers and predictors.
- Sponsorship creates bigger games — and if you win, the glory is even sweeter.
- Even if you don’t win, your sponsorship leaves a **lasting mark on the community**.
### ⏱️ Injury Time Plays
Sometimes the prize pool is so good it’s worth a gamble.
- Should you burn your **FPL chips** (Triple Captain, Wildcard, etc.) to chase an FML pot?
- Do you play safe or risk everything for maximum upside?
- Just like in real football, **Injury Time can flip the game on its head**.
