# MATCHDAY **Matchday** is a multiplayer strategy board game where you manage a football club, build a financial empire, and battle rival managers on the pitch. ![Matchday Logo](https://matchday.acgk.dev/assets/logo.png) --- ## 🏆 Victory Conditions To claim the title of **Champion**, you must achieve **one** of the following: 1. **Race for Glory**: Be the first manager to reach **20 Trophies**. 2. **Dynasty Building**: Have the most Trophies after **20 Turns** (Standard Season). 3. **Last Man Standing**: If all other managers go **Bankrupt** (Budget < -$50M), you win by default. --- ## 🎭 Manager Roles At the start of the game, every manager is assigned a unique role with a special passive ability: | Role | Ability | | :--- | :--- | | **Investor** | Starts with **+$20M** extra budget. The Tycoon status. | | **Tactician** | Starts with **1 Free Agent Card** in hand. | | **Fan Leader** | **25% Chance** to score an extra goal in every match (The "12th Man" effect). | | **Influencer** | **Immune to Fan Loss** from Crisis cards and Scandals (Doping/Match Fixing). | | **Data Genius** | **10% Discount** on buying Stadiums (Moneyball strategy). | | **Trainer** | Gains **+1 Extra Squad Power** whenever landing on Training tiles. | --- ## 🔄 Turn Structure Each turn follows a strict phase order: 1. **Pre-Roll Phase**: You may use **Tactical Cards** from your hand *before* rolling. This is the only time to use effects like *Rent Freeze* or *Doping*. 2. **Roll Phase**: Roll the dice (1-6) to move. **Doubles** grant a second turn! 3. **Movement**: Your token advances clockwise around the board. 4. **Action Phase**: Resolve the tile you landed on (Buy Stadium, Play Match, Pay Rent, etc.). 5. **End Turn**: Play passes to the next manager. --- ## 💰 The Economy & Market The Global Market is alive. Watch the ticker in the top-left! Every turn, there is a **10% chance** the market shifts: * **NORMAL**: Standard prices. * **🔥 BOOM**: Economy is hot! **All income and rent is x1.5**. * **📉 CRASH**: Recession! **All income and rent is x0.5**. ### Resources * 💵 **Budget**: Cash for buying stadiums & players. ($0 = Bankruptcy Warning) * 📣 **Fans**: Boosts Sponsorship income ($10M + 1% of Fans). * ⚡ **Squad Power**: Your combat strength. * 🏆 **Trophies**: Victory Points. --- ## 🏟️ The Board & Tiles ### Stadiums (Property) * **Buy**: Land on an unowned stadium to buy it. * **Rent**: Rivals must pay you rent when visiting. * **Upgrade**: Land on your *own* stadium to upgrade it (Lv 1 -> Lv 2 -> Lv 3). * *Level 3 Stadiums often bankrupt opponents in one visit.* ### Matches Battle an opponent (CPU or Player). * **Formula**: `(Dice 1-6) + (Squad Power / 10) + (Power Advantage Bonus)` vs Opponent Score. * **Rewards**: * **WIN**: 3 Trophies, $5M, +200 Fans. * **DRAW**: 1 Trophy, $2M, +50 Fans. * **LOSS**: -20 Fans. ### Special Zones * 🔄 **Transfer Window**: Pay **$15M** to sign a Star Player (**+3 Squad Power**). * 💪 **Training Camp**: Gain **+2 Squad Power** (free). * 📺 **Press Conference**: Gain **+500 Fans**. * 🤝 **Sponsor**: Receive **$10M + (1% of Total Fans)**. * 😴 **Rest**: No action. * 🃏 **Agent / Crisis**: Draw a random card (Blue/Red). --- ## 🃏 Cards Reference ### 💙 Agent Deck (Blue - Benefits & Tactics) ![Card Example](https://matchday.acgk.dev/assets/cards/card_wonderkid.png) *(Example: The Wonderkid card provides an instant squad power boost)* * **Wonderkid**: Immediate signing. **+5 Power**, pay **$10M**. * **Safe Bet**: Experience boost. **+2 Power**. * **VAR Whistle**: **Cancel an opponent's goal** in your next match. * **Tax Loophole**: Gain **$10M** cash instantly. * **Rent Freeze**: **Pay $0 Rent** the next time you land on a rival stadium. * **Match Fix**: Guarantee a **5-0 Win** next match, but lose **50 Fans**. * **Hostile Takeover**: Steal a random stadium from a rival!
