# THE NOUNISH WAY FORWARD

# Intro


I hope you are all well and have been sleeping alright; today is the start of a new era.

As discussed, there are a few critical topics that we are going to discuss in the following weeks; however, as we know, the Nouns Community has decided that Prop189 was not good enough (THEY ARE SAYNIG THAT!!). Therefore it is time to juggle some priorities and work together on a new proposal.

> We deserve all the ETH requested and can deliver a huge impact, which is a fact! However, some feedback has made us reflect on how we could change our ask and proposal.

We must move forward with some structure to avoid confusion, ensuring everyone can contribute meaningfully.

I am here today suggesting a potential route to follow - see below key elements of my proposal :

# **Way of Working**

* I have created a dedicated discord area (NEW PROP) and channels for this workflow to narrow our work there and not impact other channels.

* We should work on shared documentation and avoid endless conversations on Discord.We will still use Discord as a coordination medium, and I will create

* I am suggesting dividing the process (as you will see below) into different steps; for each step, we will have different roles, such as :

1. Leader: who is leading the completion of the phase
2. Shoulder: who is mirroring leader work as a support 
3. Contributor: who is contributing to one or more tasks to complete the phase 
4. Reviewer: who might not have too much time to contribute directly but is happy

### NEVER FORGET - Everyone is necessary, and we must play our roles passionately.

## **Additional notes :**

1. I am gradually including community members in the NEW PROP area to make sure I can onboard each member meaningfully and tweak the process when is needed or suggested wihtout disruptin the flow extensively

3. I am using hackdm.io for the documents - can you reply with your email so I can add you to the workspace (you have to create hackmd account )
4. I think we should set an ambition date for new submission , on the other hand we have to be realistic about holiday season and about the fact that it is better to make sure we get everything needed instead of rushing
5. Once we are into the process we can start setting more clear dates

# The Process

## Phase 1 - Getting Overall Feedback

I have created a document for that ( you will find it in the dedicated channel), and you will see some guidelines on providing feedback.

Getting all feedback will be an excellent way to detach ourselves from what happens, understand everyone's feelings and essentially create already content to showcase to the world how much we believe in this. Each feedback could be four tweets!

## Phase 2 - Filling the Gaps

* There are a few areas of the proposal that we can integrate and improve - I am listing them here the areas :
* More clear measurement of our success so far
* Goals: What is our ambition for next year, and how do we measure success
* Budget Breakdown
* Impact Measurement: how do we measure our impact? on our stakeholders and the Nouns Community
* Our Ask - progressive Funding proposition: How do we structure a progressing funding approach?

## Phase 3 - Create New Draft

Once phases 1 and 2 are completed, we create a new draft.
Having someone with solid copywriting skills doing this might be helpful.

## Phase 4 - Prop External Peer Review

Once the Draft is acceptable, we can engage with external stakeholders (Example Ohter NOUNS) and get feedback on the new prop. Once we got feedback we can complete the document.

## Phase 5 - Submission

We submit the new proposal.

## Phase 6 - Amplification

We Amplify, cross our fingers and celebrate no matters what will happen.
