## **Summary**

At GnarsDAO we believe that well structured onboarding process will help new community and dao members to engage engage and contribure more actively and meaningfully within GnarsDAO.

A better onboarding journey will increse the number of active members

**Who are GnarsDAO members?**

**Community Members** : Anyone that has entered GnarsDAO discord server. Community Members
**DAO Members / Fellows** Gnars NFT Holders and Proposal Voters
**DAO Contributors** Gnars NFT Holder that are contributing directly to a specific initiative for the growth of the DAO (Example : New Onboarding Process Design)
**DAO Beneficiaries** : Anyone that has received some fund from the DAO

**When does a member become active?**

Activation is measured by taking account the signals below :

- Discord Sever Contribution
- NFT Bidding and Holding
- Voting
- Proposal Creation
- Referral (no clarity on how to measure)

### **Who is the target of the onboarding journey?**

Main Audience

- Community members that are joining for the first time the Discord Community
- Gnars DAO Fellow (NFT holders) that are joining the community for the first time
- Beneficiaries that would like to access GnarsDAO funding support

Secondary Audience

- Community members that express interest in becoming fellows
- Fellows that express interest on becoming contributors

## **What are the goals of the onboarding journey?**

### A community members going through the onboarding journey should :

- Understand what is GnarsDAO
- Understand the Vision and Purpose of GnarsDAO
- Connect with other community members and fellows
- Understand where to gather information to contribute meaningfully to the discord community
- Understand how to become GnarsDAO holder

## A Gnars DAO Member / Fellow going through the onboarding journey should :

- Understand the Vision and Purpose of GnarsDAO
- Connect with other community members and fellows
- Understand how to contribute meaningfully to the discord community
- Understand where to gather information on how to become a contributor

## A Potential Beneficiary going through the onboarding journey should

- Understand the Vision and Purpose of GnarsDAO
- Connect with other community members and fellows
- Understand if he/she/they is elegible for GnarsDAO funding
- Understand where to gather information on how to submit a proposal
- Understand where to get support on how to submit a proposal

On the other hand - a successfull onboarding process should :

- GnarsDAO Team to Understand who has joined (what audience profile) the community and what are his / her motivations
- Allow the entire community to learn about the new member

### **What is wrong with the current onboarding journey?**

- There isn't enough information about the DAO and it's process of onabording
- Today a member from the DAO has to onboard a new member. Otherwise, will have very few active new members.

### Our Solution

Our solution is based around 4 key pillars :-1:

1. Clearly Map member journey touchpoint and focus on offerting the best experience for them
2. Improve and consolidate Educative Documentation to allow members understand more clearly GnarsDAO without being overwhelmened by Discord Conversation
3. Better Discord Server Structure that favour simplicity and engagement over noise
4. Automate Messaging and communication to scale the work of the community managers on improvig experience of the new members
