# SME admin instruction

Hello, congratulations on becoming an SME. This document will take you through the SME access in admin portal of pesu.io

## Pre-requisites
Upon logging in, please check the navbar for the presence of the word "admin." If you find it, you can proceed; however, if it's not there, please notify your buddy.


## Lets begin

The admin portal gives you access in uploading content for your course and taking attendance of your students.

### Step 1: Uploading content
After logging in from https://pesu.io/login, click on "admin" in the navbar.
This will take you to the admin page and you should see "SME Access" on the left sidebar.


Click on it, and you should see 2 options:
- Class and Attendance
- Course Plan


### Click on course plan and you should see the title of your course

Click on the title and it should take you to the edit view of the page.

Here under plans, click on **Add Plans** to add your first course plan.

This has to be in a meaningful order, such as the first course plan should be week 1, then week 2, etc.
You can also add in your assignments.

The **description** is a rich text field where you can type "/" to see the list of options.

**Note: Every week plan must start with the weekly video. Ask your buddies for the video links.**

This is just a sample, it can be very different depending on the course.

Click on save after writing the plans.

(if you want to add more plans, like week 2, week 3, you can scroll down and click on **Add plans** again.)

## Step 2: Taking attendance and class summary.

Now click on **Class and Attendance** in the side bar after expanding the **SME access** view.
This will take you to a list view of your classes (will be empty initially).

1. After your class on that particular day, click on **Add Class**.
1. This will take you to the class edit view with the **date** already filled.
1. You can add your **class summary** as rich text field and take attendance of your students.


NOTE: **Do not add any additional members while taking attendance.**

Your students can view all these details from their dashboard -> **Details** on the course card.
