# R/Europe Campaign 9 session 4 - Super Duper Tierlist !

Disclaimer : Last time I did a tier list, I gave everyone good ratings, and average ruler stats were 12 or 14. This time, I tried to use full range, from **0 0 0** to **6 6 6**. So please don't feel misjudged, since I didn't follow much the middle east and europe, my ratings are just subjective indications.
Furthermore, I'm not just rating the current strength of the nation, but also what I heard about the nation's past struggles, and the potentiality of evolution I see in the nation depending on it's diplo/situation.
Please don't take critics personally, my only goal is to get the contest mooney, not to make enemies.

# S tier : Strong and Splandid
**Ottomans** : The Ottomans are a true mastodonte. In terms of income, military power or sheer size, they are miles ahead. They also have a very secure diplomatic postion and had it since day 1 : there back is secured by friendly and co-dependant Mamluks, now Ayyubids. Their west is held by a more than grateful Tuscany. Leaving them with few enemies, and completely manageable ones.
One can say that playing the ottomans is easy, but many have died to coalitions day 1. Surviving and thriving was never as easy as it seemed.
Overall : it is a nice **6 6 3** for Bob. Why only 3 in mil ? Well, it's hard to shine when your enemies are barely able to fight.
**Westphalia** : Hre is a very peculiar place, and it's always hard to carve a relevant nation from it. This campaign was a bit of a free run for Hesse, since most hre players didn't show up. But still, the nation is very healthy and still has a lot of Ais to gobble up. Westphalia and the west won against their only direct threat, the polish bloc, and if they can throw one more punch like the previous one, we might see a glorious Germany sooner than later. The deving and building are already well on the way, all he needs is a bit more provinces.
Clasher is showing a good **6 3 5**.
**Bengal** : Ah India ! It's wealth, it's intestine early wars... And it's tripartite hugbox ! It is one of the most recurrent r/europe meme. But Bengla is looking really nice. The income is a bit low because the autonomy is still high from integrating AIs, but the number of provinces alone will allow a nice scalling. And seeing the diplomatic cuddling with the two other indians, Bookwu will have the time he needs to reach it's final form : Nepal. Once the blue becomes red, all will know that it's time to seek refuge, as he will be marching for war.
The blobing, Ai-feeding and the opportunism to benefit from neighbors leaving at low cost grant Bookwu a solid **5 6 2**.
# A tier : Absolutely Able to rule
**Punjab** : I don't like the color. Come on man. You were grey, then red then green, and now this ?!? No. I refuse.
Appart from that, very scary nation. Probably one of the strongest, after ottomans of course. And the diplomatic situation is really good as well. So why only A tier and not S ? Because you play too quiet ! No fun wars, no danger, no thrill ! You could have killed Vijay, or Persia, and equalled ottomans. But you are too nice for that. Imagine having feelings.
Anyway, building is going well, deving also. We have a **5 5 2** for Monsieur Ze Kridox.
**Sweden** : The king in the north. Scariest nation in europe at the moment.
130 income with such shit land ? This is impressive. And the Swedish quality isn't something to sniff at. So what is the problem ? The alliance bloc. The alliances you chose are blocking your only expansion paths. And even if Norway is giving away his land, you will soon be locked in.
Creepy fought some good PvP, notably against his former ally Muscovy, and it paid off. We have a **5 2 5**
**Castille** : The early game for Castille was a disaster. Locked in the longest reconquista ever seen, he was close from throwing the towel. But despite the mooslim-box, he finally killed Marocco, and kept his good ally Aragon, now Two-sicilies, in the process. As per usual, Kravt is a skilled administrator, and the deving of the nation is impressive. Now that Castille will have some expansion room, it will soon become scary.
However, friends are still scarce, and foes are still numerous. I'd suggest trying opening new diplomatic channels.
We have a **6 1 4**.
**Tuscany** : Tuscany would like to be Italy. He fought, north and south for it. Or rather he was helped in his fights by mighty allies. The job is not over yet, but the situation is getting more and more appealing by the day. The nation itself is still bleeding a bit, but once the Iberians and the French will be expelled from the rightful pasta clay, he will start looking really good.
This is a **2 5 4** for Barghast.
# B tier : Based and Balanced
**Vijayanagar** : The south of India is secured. The nation looks good, economically and militerally. Yes, it won the fratricide against Bahmanis. But since then... it doesn't do much. Being in the Indian hugbox is comfy, but if you have no outside borders, it can also be your doom since you won't expand. True, Hormuz was secured by the sub last session.
Overall, this gives Limbohead a **4 3 3**.
**Lotharingia** : The shape of the country is disgusting, it looks like a Gnoll running from behind. But, the diplo situation is nice, the nation controls the EC, which is always good money, and it can fight. It is a bit locked between it's allies France and Westphalia, but at least it has no direct enemies. Still, it needs a bit of land.

**Oirats** : Biggest nation in terms of provinces, in terms of name placement... Do we have our winner ? Well, not so fast. Hordes are poor. They don't scale that well, so there is still a lot of work to secure the Horsey Empire. But even if a bit late in ideas, the hordes are still very able to fight. I experienced it violently last week, this 45% cavalry combat ability is not a joke.
But for Oirat to thrive, it needs to find new easy targets to feed upon, and maybe some friends too. GraveFables earned a nice **2 2 5**.
**Malaya** : Ah the spice Islands, the quiet of the pacific Ocean, the relentless colonization... What else to say ? Everything is peaceful and calm in Malaysia. The income hasn't reached it's full potential yet, and the nation hasn't really extended it's zone of influence outside of it's base region as of now. But as one of the only two naval nations in the game, it could secure islands and become the world's Sea Police. Lacking some alliances might be the problem, but no one can really invade him.
Morluck gets a **5 2 2**.
**Zhejiang** : The nation should be dead. After the chaotic and catastrophic diplomacy of XVR 'the Stoopid' of House Baguette, it's neighbors should have cleansed the world of his presence... But they didn't show up, and Zhejiang was able to recover. It is now in decent position to rule over the far-east, even tho it's possessions are splitted accross Korea, Japan and China, and it's holds on the sea is quite relative. He was able to kill of his small neighbors, but was defeated spectacularly the first time he picked on an enemy his size.
I will bestow a **5 0 3** to myself.
# C tier : Creative memer or Capable of better
**Ayyubids** : The Mamluks could have formed Egypt, but why would they ? Ayyubids is so much better. The nation is spreading accross all the southern banks of the mediterranean, and in a solid couple with the ottomans since the beginning of the campaign. It's not the richest or the strongest, but he has nice relations with all his neighbors, secured Arabia, and can now go into Mali.
Flemish is rewarded with a **1 5 2**.
**France** : Yes France is still a strong nation. But he will have to survive a bankruptcy next weekend and it's never an easy task. It also was unable to defeat Tuscany and still has an enemy backed by the ottomans to his border. It did secure Brittany and Provence, a bit of Switzerland, but conceded Normandy to England, and now to Lotharingia.
France is lacking expansion routes, and in precarious situation. But if it survives the bankruptcy, it can still fight the good fight.
A **2 4 2** is bestowed upon Alex.
**Prussia** : Ah ! The Prussian steel. Nothing fancy, we can't afford it. But it's razor sharp blades cuts. Now, the question is, will it have enough blades ? The economy and FL are limiting. But the eastern hugbox is tight, and they support each other. Not enough for Sweden to share the trade with poor Prussia, tho.
If Pench can find some money somewhere, and industrilize a bit his nation, it will become scary. But promises are not weapons, *yet*. This is a **0 3 4**.
**Ethiopia** : Ethiopia is playing the quiet game. The horn of Africa is secured and he can snake into Mali. The relations with Ayyubids are cordial, and the hugbox with Rozwi and Kongo is online. But the lack of action is starting to penalize the region. Thei expansion is slowing and you can't keep relying on gold income. Securing a more profitable trade node and getting new land will soon be an issue.
Dreams is granted a **3 4 0**.
# D tier : Debatable Skill
**Poland** : Poland got a big setback last session. It was in a decent position, but the loss of the goldmines hurt an income already shaky. True, Poland is fighting and fighting hard, since day 1. It is probably one the nations with most PvPs this campaign. But with the Ottomans on his doorstep, and with allies as exhausted by war as Lithuania and Prussia, Poland is not very safe. One or two quiet recovering sessions would help. But they might never happen.
KimJanUn gets a **1 2 5**.
**Persia** : The fratricide war with Timmy is over. It was long and painful, but thanks to the power of friendship, QQ won. And it formed a very solid tag, Persia. Still late in ideas and buildings, but the borders look nice, and that's good. The trade will soon flow, and prosperity will follow... Unless the indians come knocking. Mamluks could defeat Timmy, but Ayyubids can't defeat Punjab or Vijayanagar.
NjuppaSupa is granted a **0 3 5**.
**Two Sicilies** : The patron of the Arts is sadly not able to conquer the cities of the renaissance. At least not yet. Clinical exemple of schizophrenia, he thought himself both Italian and Iberian, but finds himself being neither. Sure, he has a good friend in Castille, and sure they killed Morrocoo, but Aragon didn't benefit from it. And when Tuscany came knocking, he was the one to pay the bill.
Kimii needs new friends, or a new plan if he wants the dream of a true Two Sicilies to remain a possibility. He gains a **1 4 2**
**England** : Henri VIII lived soooo long. And his grandchild was as competent as he was... This explains a bit why England is late. But the truth is : England is late. It doesn't control the EC, the deving is slow and without eco, it will stay slow. Sure it's colonies, in Cuba and Mexico, are gonna be played, which will help a bit. But appart colonizing for them, what can England do ? It's so called "allies" bullied him for a state last session. It can't fight on land and isn't rich enough to turn the tides of a war. It an play naval. It should go full naval, as he only has one opponent for that and this one is as far as it could be.
CaptainFlowers get a **2 4 0**.
# E tier : a bit Eew
**Rozwi** : The income is decent, thanks to gold. But there is nowhere to go, the nation is locked by allies. And it won't scale as much as other regions. So it needs to either change it's diplo or find somewhere to go, otherwise, it will just slide into the void, and slowly decay. Zanzibar is a strong trade node, but the Indians aren't gonna leak much value. Mybe reach out to Ayyubids and Ethiopia, and try to pushin this direction ?
CarpetBoj gets a **3 3 0**.
**Gansu** : The nation is doing ok, for one that was AI last session. A couple of save edits to change the idea group would make it competitive in Europe. Sadly, in China, stuck between Oirat and Zhejiang, two nations who attacked him earlier, he is not in a safe spot. And he lacks allies following the unlucky disappearance of his brother Yunnan. Diplomacy will be the key.
Volveryin is awarded a **2 2 1**.
**Norway** : Was it not enough to be bad and mod? WAS IT NOT ENOUGH ?!? You had to go colo on top of that... And to fail it and pop 2 CNs despite some previous save edits.
The sad thing is that it will probably be one of the strongest nations when we end... But it won't have done anything in the mean time. WHY DO PEOPLE PLAY LIKE THAT ?
CuChullain you are a **0 6 0**.
**Kongo** : The nation is alive, mostly because well... no one is around. It is friendly with Rozwi and Ethiopia and Mali... But this hugbox harms them more than anything. When euros came for Mali, no one could help him... and no one could benefit from his death. Staying weak together isn't a viable long term plan. And going colonial is prolly not gonna pay off except if you exile to bresil, but it's a bit late.
Xantos earns a **2 3 0**.
# F tier : Fucking Dead
**Lithuania** : The nation was played by Jux. So...
But heh, it won against Muscovy. What did it cost ? EVERY FUCKING THING. But it won. Now, Canberk rules over beautiful and glorious ashes. Lots of them, lithuania is still big. But still ashes and ruins.
How to reconstruct ? This will be a challenge.
Canberk gets a **1 2 1** (but we all know it's Jux's fault, Canberk is just doing his best to salvage the impossible).
**Mali** : The goldmines aren't deved. The English have arrived and started hostilities. The Castillians are coming from the north, as the Ayyubids, and Ethiopians are here from the east. And kongo took the southern coast. And he went expansion while having no uncolonized land in range. Well... England stole his coast. But still.
You understood, the vultures are circling around the body of Nos*. He isn't dead yet, but he is not really alive either. At least, his destiny isn't in his hands anymore. If you want to play next campaign, we need to chat a bit, to make things easier for you.

# Notable mention
Cuba : Thunder tookthe reigns of the country and seems to be doing ok. No real dangers in the horizon. The overlord isn't helping him, but he doesn't seem to be needing help.
Australia : Andrex is now the Down Undaa Mastaa. Luckily, Morluck is giving him mooney, because he is poor. But he found gold so everything will soone be ok.
