# Metafactory Community Call 5/5/22 ###### tags: `metafactory` ### Opening Discussion - daofren misses lobsta. did bleed - jin has a demo to share - showing first week of progress on 3d MF website - also showing sith lord's 3d website - shares idea of having npc in 3d website actually being a live person and being able to swap it between npc / person - drew summing up lume studios call: - yesterday call took place - clarified our ask + approach - looks like everything is a go - creating virtual model 1:1 of physical space; test content and music production perspectives; offer digital experience along with physical experience - looking to have MF event on Monday the 20th ... it will be a generalized educational informational experience over general state of metaverse + vision for making it interoperable + discussion of some "metaverses" that are more gated and aren't really metaverses - drew doesnt mind being a bit controversial and asking tough questions about what metaverse really is - in process of talking to DAO NYC ... unconferenced event on the 21st; looking to see what content can be rolled over - atlantis world call yesterday - sprite based top down browser based experience - dao focused -- dao snapshots in world, dao votes, collab, etc. - zelda-based marketplace with featured items - drew sees good cross over in vision between us and them - MF could have sprite based version of our 3d virtual prod efforts as well ### House Keeping and New Proposals - will on curation funding proposal: - idea to add on to curation game - de risk some drops - at least one drop in the past wasn't successul. if drop isn't successful it puts stress on MF since we own all costs - potential of putting down collatteral -- some sort of agreement in place if drop doesn't sell out, there might be some re-balancing. - this re-incentivies and de-risks - MF won't survive if it doesn't address this - drew sees economic incentive to bring more energy from partners to move sales and agrees with will overall on this strategy - we are still niche -- not every single drop will be successul if partners are not helping pull their weight after we bring things to market while bearing costs - asking partners to stake or have skin in the game makes sense -- will bring more value and effort from partners - will is excited to see analytics after implementing this to see what we can learn - partners put up stakes: unsuccessful drop could = some of that stake gets taken by MF; successful drop could = partners get back more than stake they put up - make compensation match effort of individuals - daofren's mini proposal for creative bounty budgets - finding creative ways to have micro bounties to have low lift creative tasks for newer community members to take on if they don't have a lot of time to contribute - stable compensation for top contributors - flat rate for any member who is instrumental to ongoing success and growth of MF voted on and acknolwedged by other members who are part of core team + committing a full time effort to MF. generally thought of as 30+ hours. no timesheets but it is pretty evident - 9 participants selected based on recent distributions + some new members as well - 3k in stables each month; participation evaluated on a monthly basis - meant for core memebrs and not meant to detract from other methods of pay out whatsoever ### upcoming drops - wagmi coming up. they are all in NYC and ready to be shipped
