The goal of the Memes project by punk6529 is to spread the message of decentralization through collaborative art NFTs. They explain their efforts to create 3D memes based on existing 2D memes from the 6529 Meme community.

Memes are intersubjective myths.

Memes are how all advanced societies organize themselves across large groups of people.

Elections, politics, culture, brands, consumer behavior, cash-flows all derive from the most powerful memes in society at any given point in time.

The Memes is a collection of art NFTs whose goal is to spread the message of decentralization, in a way that tweetstorms, policy papers and podcasts can't.

The Memes are large edition, CC0 (public domain) NFTs that spread far and wide, are remixed, ReMemed, and reinterpreted by the world at large.

We have over 5 dank 3D NFT drops ready to go. We can use revenue from the 3D meme sales to fund initiatives such as acquiring additional memes and giving back to the community. The plan includes various drops, animations, and virtual production activities. We can use the addresses from the collectors we're making a derivitive from and the M3mes partyDAO members to generate the allow list from before public sale via Zora.

Party Structure

Two options for launching the project are proposed

1. Public DAO structure with membership minting
2. Private party invitation-based approach

Public DAO

• Every holder can get NFT airdropped to them per season
  • Like a subscription to M3mes
• 50% of sales can immediately go towards funding bounties
  • Can make NFTs less expensive with less need to bootstrap
• 50% can go towards buying 6529 memes from secondary
  • Two way street for value alignment

Private DAO

• Pre-mint memberships, Invite only
• +2 ETH for bounties + Gas fees
• 5+ meme drops ready to go, can do 1 a week
• Can add new members by proposal, like collaborators
  • Less coordination cost if everyone know each other

Action items

• Align with the 6529 Meme community and spread the message of decentralization. The action item associated with this is to create a 3D collection of memes using the meme assets downloaded from the community.
• The next follow-up is to determine a path for launching the 3D memes. The two possible options discussed are a public DAO structure or a private party. The action item is to decide on the most suitable approach.
  • If the public DAO structure is chosen, the action items include setting up and managing bounties through Dework, coordinating the membership minting process, and token gating memberships. Additionally, the plan is to airdrop 3D memes to every member and allocate 50% of the sales to funding bounties.

• There is also a consideration to coordinate within the M3 community. The action item is to determine the most suitable platform for coordination, with a suggestion to have a channel in the OM Discord.
• Another action item is to acquire memes from the secondary market using the funding generated from the project. This aligns with the goal of spreading the message, being collectors, and giving back to the community.
• Gas fees are also mentioned, and the action item is to explore options for reducing gas fees through grants or other means.

DAO FAQ

Most fun / least overhead IMO:

• Private party of creators
• extra memberships for sponsors
• first zora mint = season pass
  • airdrop NFTs to holders
• public mint for each drop as well

We will do season pass at 0.1 each, and it will have an end date, limited supply (300 max). This provides us the same amount that memes by 6529 team raises each drop. We will see what we can do with that for a whole season. 1 drop a week, $1000 budget going into 3D asset / animation / promotion / ops.

Season Pass

Introducing 'The M3mes', an experimental CC0 3D NFT collection inspired by The Memes by 6529, joining the fight for an open internet by spreading the message of decentralization, community, and self-sovereignty to early adopters and users across the metaverse. A project by M3 (Metaverse Makers _*) to align with OM, with a portion of profits going into a DAO to collect original Memes.

Builders and makers of digital realms gather, playing cards and having a jolly time while more seriously discussing the power of memes and their ability to coordinate society in ways that tweet storms, policy papers, and podcasts cannot.

Ownership of this NFT acts as a subscription for being airdropped all future Season 1 M3me drops by time of the snapshot before mint.
