# How to add Orthanc server in MediQPACS Reference this FAQ : [**Why can’t I import or schedule imports from other PACS servers after testing the connection when adding or editing an AE?**](https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/faq/article/why-cant-i-import-or-schedule-imports-from-other-pacs-servers-after-testing-the-connection-when-adding-or-editing-an-ae) Both servers need to add the server information of the other server, following steps to set :  1. Please confirm your MediQPACS Server settings (Title/IP/Port) first. Click **["admin" → My NAS]** ![](https://i.imgur.com/afNtYwo.png) 2. Write down your MediQPACS Server **Title, Internal IP, and Port**. ![](https://i.imgur.com/5Zu9EPk.png) 3. Please change your Orthanc Server settings ( Ubuntu default path : /etc/orthanc/orthanc.json ), and follow the below image to add the MediQPACS Server, fill in the MediQPACS Server Title, Internal IP and Port in the corresponding place. EX : **"DEMO" : ["DEMO", "192.168.55.15", 22222]** ![](https://i.imgur.com/Ubb8zuW.png) 4. Go to the **AE Management** screen. 5. Click ![](https://i.imgur.com/1mHZ0x2.png). 6. Specify the information for the new AE. ![](https://i.imgur.com/0BhQIc4.png) 7. **Optional:** Click **Echo & Verify** to test the AE connection to your PACS server. 8. Click **Add**. The AE is added to the corresponding screen. 9. Locate the PACS server that you want to import images from. **Note:** You cannot import images from a modality. 10. Then you can import the DICOM file.
