# Mounting DyME on Mac
From a terminal

`open smb://dymestorage1.file.core.windows.net/vmfileshare`

username is `dymestorage1`

For password you use the key from azure

Once done it will be mounted under

`/Volumes/vmfileshare/`

## Accesing outside the Turing

You must add your IP address to the approved list.

From the azure portal

- Go to dymestorage1 page
- Security + networking
- Add your IP under the Firewall section

## Caveats
- If you go via finder it won't mount
- but the CL command above will work
- Supplying key and username via CL will not work
- Need to use the GUI prompt for key

# CEDA download

We can also mount the CEDA archive on our Macs.

- Create an FTP password for CEDA
- Log in web browser. ftp://ftp.ceda.ac.uk (works with Chrome and Mac)
- Once done it will be mounted under

`/Volumes/ftp.ceda.ac.uk/`

You will have access to all the data.
