# Scheduled Messages Set-up via Zapier (V1)
* What you need: the googlesheet file which contains your scheduled messages
## Steps
1. Go to [Zapier](https://zapier.com/app/dashboard). CodePath has an accont with the details stored in 1password
2. After logging in, you will be routed to this page. Select **Make a Zap**

3. It will then ask for a **trigger**

4. Select **Schedule by Zapier** since we want the trigger to be the the sechedule that we set. You can choose either day, or week or month. This time I chose every week since I will use this for the SE103 sessions that happen each week

5. Choose the **day** and time you want the posts to be made. Make sure that the **timezone settings** is correct.

6. Click on **Add action step** to connect the schedule to googlesheets.

7. Under action step, click on **Action/Search** since we want to look up a data from googlesheets

<br/>
8. It will ask you to select another app to connect the previous step recently set-up. Choose **googlesheets**

9. Select **look up spreadsheet row**

<br/>
9. Connect your email account

<br/>
10. Fill-out the details needed. Provided in the second screenshot is the sample data

11. Click **continue** until you will be routed to the same page seen below. Click on **add a step** since we haven't connected it to **slack** yet.

12. Choose **slack**

13. Select from the list of options. For the purpose of this trial, select **send to private channel message**

14. Select from the list of options. For the purpose of this trial, select **send to private channel message**

15. Fill-out the needed info. Since our **message** content lives in the **googlesheets**, click on the plus sign to select the option to **lookup the row in the spreadsheet**. Select the **column** where the the **message content** is located. Make sure you choose **no** for the section, **send as a bot** to make it more personal.

16. Choose **send test to slack** to send test

16. You should get the message **Test was successful** and the test message should be sent to the channel as well

17. That's it! **Turn on your Zap**
