# NFT avatar platform signalling contribution to Ethereum community

## Tl;Dr
This NFT platform aims help fund public Ethereum public goods by providing social recognition and bragging rights in form of NFT avatars.

## NFTs
NFTs in this platform are generated by the algorithm originally created by XXX for the Mist wallet. This avatar picture is unique for every address, already used by variety of different wallets and also the most popular block explorer etherscan.io. The algorithm takes as inputs sender's address along and the Eth amount sender is willing to contribute to Ethereum foundation. Address determines the shape of the avatar and amount donated determines its color. e.g. 0.1Ξ - green, 1Ξ - blue, 10Ξ - red, 100+Ξ purple.


## Rationale
This project is inspired by highly successful EIP1559 NFTs which were created to retrospectively reward contributors who made this EIP happen. One of the main if not the main value propositions behind Avatar NFTs is social signaling. It would be hard to argue otherwise, e.g. sharp contrast in prices between crypopunks and picture-like art.
This NFT is mintable and unique for all ETH address and its color clearly communicates the owner's contribution to the Ethereum community.
