# Tokenization of credit card #

Tokenization is a protection layer provided to hide the original information of card holder i.e. the primary account number of the card holder. It converts details of account holder in a random alphanumeric series called token. All the details of card holder are kept safe in a vault.

# Importance of tokenization to common man #
1) It provides end to end encryption of details, that is details are only know to parties in transaction and not to any one else.
2) Tokenization prevents duplication of bank details as each card holder has a separate token.
3) It prevents your actual bank details from being exposed. No one can know or hack bank details while transaction is being done.
4) As each card has it's own unique alphanumeric series it is helpful in preventing online breach.
