# Statescan maintenance from 08.2020 to 12.2020

Statescan is now an explorer implementation for Kusama/Polkadot asset parachains. We have implemented Statemine/Statemint/Westmint. We’re requesting the maintenance fee for the last 4 months(09.2021-12.2021).
## Servers
We use 3 Hetzner vps + a 400G volume for production hosting and 2 contabo vps for development.

Hetzenr vps:
- vps1: CPX31(4 vcpu + 8G ram + 160G) = €12.4/mo = $14.20/mo
- Vps2: CPX41(8 vcpu + 16G ram + 240G) = €22.9/mo = $26.22/mo
- vps3: CPX41(8 vcpu + 16G ram + 240G) = €22.9/mo = $26.22/mo
- volume 400GB = €16.0/mo = $18.32/mo

Contabo vps:
- vps1: 4v + 8G ram + 200G = $6.99
- vps1: 4v + 8G ram + 200G = $6.99

## Continuous development & daily maintenace
We keep actively developing to improve the product, and generally what we did includes:
- We integrated [Statemint](https://statemint.statescan.io/). It requres work like theme design, DOT price track, code refactor, block meta scan, etc.
- Performance improvement
- Home page search performace improvement
- Block/extrinsic/events first list page perforce improvement by introducting cache
- Feature enhacement like extrinsic/events filter improvment, 404/500 and other error pages customizatioin, extrinsic/events params shown improvement, etc.
- Bug fixes includes nft/asset approvals, destroyed assets holders, etc.
- Create google form to collect asset info.
- Monitor scripts are created to check the service failure and restart the services.

we request one developer 14 days work cost for last 4 months, and it's $500 * 14 = $7,000.

Payment conditions:

1. The work is for both kusama(Statemine) and polkadot(Statemint), but to make the on-chain work simple, we apply from kusama and polkadot in turn every 4 monthes.
2. We will use the 30 day avg rate from Subscan to calculate the total KSM allocation at the day of submission.
