# Maintenance and Logistics expansion: Economy
> Note: I am putting this here because Discord isn't a good way to efficiently communicate ideas (Also the discord post was too much waffling not enough design discussion)
(I'm pretty sure this would be implemented eventually but I'd like to give you all some ideas.)
# Gameplay

### Shop system
* This should use some sort of queue system to export and import items (it would be sick if there was some sort of cargo ship or something that could play into this)
`* (expanding) Cargo ship would come in with all the stuff you ordered and you would have to load it up with the stuff you want to export then it would leave for a while.)`
* All members of P.I (maybe except interns) should be able to queue stuff for purchase (although they should be required to leave a reasoning for their purchase and only people working as M&L should be able to approve it)
* Certain items should be automatically queued to prevent gameplay from being impossible without people from this department from being on (they should also be free to prevent shit going into the negative)
* All P.I departments should have some way of gaining money for the company.
* There should be a few fun gadgets and trinkets so that people outside of combative departments can have something fun to enjoy when business is booming
* This could work with the stocking/supply system somehow
* Workers should be forced to move ores/dinosaurs/circuits/stuff they want to export from where they came from to the cargo ship(?) somehow.
#### (Ideas) Imports
* Stock weapons and vehicles restocks (so they can be stockpiled)
* Upgraded weapons
* Upgraded land/water/air vehicles
* Pizza Party!
* Upgraded asset tracker (Maybe make it so the regular asset tracker is unreliable or something)
* Better Tranq tools
* Pheonix International Morale Boosting Plushie Crate ™️
* Pheonix International️ brand energy drinks
#### (Ideas) Exports
* Ores
* Dinosaurs (Might not be lore accurate)
* Circuit Boards (maybe another revenue stream for prisoners?)

### Mail System
> this is the real proposal
> I dont think it makes sense that hundreds of people would willingly go to work on some foreign island for months on end without even being able to recieve mail + I think this could create cool roleplay scenarios for prisoners and P.I employees alike.
* Mail cannot be sent, only recieved.
* Mail would give the deliverer limited information about the recipient (just where they were last seen and maybe their job title.)
* People within M&L department would have to pick up mail and bring it to the specified person.
* Successfully delivering mail could add some sort of multiplier to the sale of exports to add extra incentive to delivering it. (I think this would work better as a mulitplier because it adds another layer of depth to the shop system)
* Mail would be designated to anyone on the island (including prisoners to increase interaction between players)
* Mail would include things like dinosaur plushies, food, or just a couple hundred bucks or something.
* Maybe mail could be included in the uhh queue system somehow.
