# 2025-01-24 Ukrainian Carpentries meeting [toc] ## Meeting Details This is the Ukrainian Carpentries community space. Maryna Novozhylova / University of St Andrews We have decided to have a co-working session and were reviewing `02-variables.md` from https://carpentries.crowdin.com/u/projects/24/l/uk. At the end of an hour, it's 100% translated and 92% reviewed. Please remember we have private project boards at https://github.com/orgs/ukrainian-carpentries/projects to track progress (similarly to Trello we have used in the past). You need to be a member of the "ukrainian-carpentries" GitHub organisation to access them. There are also some update which you can read below. ### Announcements and reports - Veronika is finishing her StARIS Semester 1 work - Git lesson 100% translated, 86% reviewed - Now https://ukrainian-carpentries.github.io/git-novice/ shows Jimmy & Alfredo Ratatouille restaurant scenario - Side effect of the update: https://github.com/ukrainian-carpentries/git-novice/issues/2 resolved - Olexandr took part at the Ukraine mathematics conference["At the End of the Year 2024"](https://sites.google.com/knu.ua/aey2024/home) and gave a talk about sharing reproducible computational experiments, made with mathematical software (in particular, GAP), which featured The Carpentries as means of learning necessary skills, and our translation efforts. Avhustyn submitted some new translations. They have to be converted to proper pull requests to start their review, what currently causes the delay. Olexandr keeps this in TODO list. ### Future plans - StARIS Semester 2 in St Andrews - proposal submitted - Ideas for STEP (Summer 2025) and VIP projects (from September 2025) in St Andrews ### Next meeting - The next meeting is planned on 28th February 2025, 16:00 Ukrainian time
